"CROSS I SWEAR IF YOU TOUCH ONE FEATHER ON KEVIN I'M GOING TO DUST YOU!"
"IT WAS A JOKE I'M NOT GOING TO HURT YOUR STUPID CHICKEN!"
"HIS NAME IS KEVIN AND HE IS NOT STUPID!"
You groan in annoyance as you slump as far into your bed as possible to get away from the racket.
You lived with three skeletons and two of which, were idiots.
"NIGHTMARE GET OFF ME YOU PUNY LIL-"
"SAY I'M TINY AGAIN YOU LAMPPOST"
"LAMPPOST?" The next thing you heard after that were gigantic thuds like they were throwing each other around.
"CROSS PUT ME DOW-" Nightmare's sentence was cut off by the sound of someone slamming the door of their room (which was above you) open. You snickered to yourself as you already guessed what had happened. Clearly they had ticked off Error.
It was silent. You had to admit you grew a tad bit worried for Nightmare and Cross just because of how quiet it was. You decided to check up on them just to see what had went down. You hopped out of your bed and trudged up the stairs to the third bedroom that Nightmare and Cross both shared cause Error and you had called dibs on the first two rooms; leaving them to share the third room. You peeked inside as the door was still wide open from Error slamming it. Error was standing in the middle of the room with crossed arms looking irritated as heck as Cross and Nightmare stood sheepishly in front of him. Both seemed to be quite bruised from tackling each other earlier that morning. Cross was the first to notice you, he gave you a quick nervous smile as if asking for help. Nightmare also joined in with the pleading for help once he took notice of you too. You almost felt sorry for them if they didn't disrupt your sleep too. You stood there, leaning on the door way as you watched silently. Error glanced over his shoulder at you. His eyes were cold, it made you shiver even though you know it wasn't for you. Now you saw why they were scared. Error turned back to Cross and Nightmare, tilting his head to the side.
"We're sorry" Cross squeaked. Nightmare nodded in agreement.
"Yep, we're sorry for ruining your beauty sleep your highness" He tried to hide his smile. Error sighed in frustration while you chuckled at Nightmare's joke.
"Whatever, if your gonna go dust each other do it outside and not at 7 in the morning." He said sternly. Cross and Nightmare nodded as Error exited the room.
"Why's he gotta be so scary like that?" Nightmare asked as he waved his hands his around, being quite dramatic about it. Cross only shrugged.
(I might make Cross and Nightmare too much of idiots in these Dreamswap books- Please let me know if I should tone it down)
"Maybe it's because it's 7 in the morning and you both are being idiots making a bunch of noise?" You say, deadpanned.
"Oh yeah.." Nightmare replies.
"I swear you both just knocked the sense out of each other" You facepalmed. You turn around on your heel and walked back downstairs.
Error was sitting on the couch with a cup of newly brewed coffee when you got downstairs. You didn't hesitate to pour yourself a cup as well. You stood next to the island table in the kitchen as you took a sip, peeking a look at Error from the corner of your eye. He still looked ticked off.
You guessed he was gonna be like that till his coffee fully set in and woke him up..
If he didn't have his phobia of being touched you would offer to rub his shoulders, they seemed tense.
