You were walking down the long corridors of the humongous castle you worked in. Your king, King Nightmare, Ruler of the Moon empire, had requested some tea while he plans an attack on the Sun empire. You sighed as you carried the platter of tea towards the study room. 

Opening the door to the study you called out to your ruler, "Your highness, I have brought you your tea" you say as you curtsy. A single lamp was on in the study room. "Put it on that table over there" he said as he gestured to a small table with his tentacle. you curtsied again walked over to the table without saying a word. You placed the platter of tea on the table. "Would you like me to pour you a glass?" You asked. The king looked at you again. "Sure, thank you Y/n" he said as he went back to his book.

You've worked with him for a few years now, overall it's an ok experience but it pays off. You were the head maid and the only maid to officially work under Nightmares special requests. The other maids just do the housework, you were a personal maid to him.

You handed him his tea. "Thank you Y/n" he says as he takes the cup.

You won't admit it out loud but something about the guy just ticks you off. The way he treats the other maids...you can hear the annoyance in his voice when they make just one small mistake. Thankfully, you rarely made mistakes.  Though you wouldn't say you hated him. He was good looking and over all a good king.   He took a sip of his tea....his face scrunches up in disgust. "Did you put honey in this?" He asked very annoyed.

You facepalmed. You made mistakes once in a while though, this time you forgot he hates it when you put honey in his tea. "My apologies your highness. I forgot you didn't like honey in your tea. I'll remake it right away" you gritted your teeth and curtsied. You heard him scoff. "Don't be all mad at me. Your the one who made the mistake" he said plainly. This time you were the one to scoff. "It was a simple mistake" you say quietly but he still heard it. "Talking back now are we?" You shot up in surprised that he heard you. "No! No I didn't mean it. It's just..." you paused, "your always so upset over small mistakes. If you can't even handle our mistakes than why don't you do it yourself?" You say calmly but clearly annoyed with him. His eyes widened. You, talking back to him?! Never once did you ever do this. 

 You took a step back regretting everything you just said. That may have been too far...  you thought as you sensed his presence darken. 

He was quiet...the eerie echo of the clock was the only thing you could hear beside your own thumping heart. He glared at you. The longer he stared the more anxiety built up in your chest. That gut feeling was telling you to run but you couldn't . The more trouble you get into the worst. Time seemed to stop when you looked into his glowing cyan eyes. 

"Don't do it again. This is a warning" He says.  The knot in your chest settled down a little. "Go fix it before I change my mind" You nod and quickly exit to fix  the platter of tea. 

When you left he smirked, looking at the door you exited from. He was angry from your newest action yes, but he loved it at the same time. He wanted to see how much farther he could push you. You were different from other maids...so he spared you. He chuckled as he went back to his book. You had always caught his eye, how you made everyone smile and cared for them. Even himself as bad as he was sometimes. He smiled mischievously. Let's see how far this goes  he thought as he chuckled again. 

~Time skip~

You rushed back the study with a new platter of tea WITHOUT any honey this time thank goodness. You pushed opened the door with your hip.  "Your highness! I have your new platter of tea" You say a bit quicker then intended. He looked up at you and pointed to the table again. You nodded and place the platter on the table ad fixed him up a new plate of tea. "Here you go your highness" 

he took the cup and sipped at it. Pleased with the tea he showed a small smile. "Thank you Y/n" You sighed in relief that you made it right this time. If you do things right he tends to get into a good mood. This is the side of him you loved. "Your welcome your highness" You say as you take the edge's of your dress and curtsy.
