You were walking through A village in Outertale. You had went to some local stores for some groceries and we're on your way home with a bag full of food. Wandering out of the village, villagers gave you side glances and whispered behind your back as you passed by. You started to walk faster. No one liked you or trusted you after what had happened. When you thought about what happened your hand went up to your cheek, where a jagged scar rested. It went from your cheekbone to your chin. 'If only...' you shook your head to clear the thought and continued to fast walk. Your mind wandered, causing you to forget to make a turn somewhere while you were walking. When you realized you went the wrong way you stood near the edge of a cliff with nothing but stars beyond it. Sitting at the edge of the cliff was a skeleton. Not like the skeletons you knew. As you walked closer to him to see what he was doing you noticed that his bones were black instead of pearly white like most skeletons. He wore a long black and yellow tuxedo looking coat with a red shirt underneath and black pants. The sleeves of his coat faded to blue and so did his pants and he had a long blue scarf wrapped around his neck. It fluttered in the light breeze. He seemed to glitch out and little 'Error' signs fluttered around him. His voice startled you when he spoke, "what do you want?" His voice was a bit stern and glitched too. He didn't turn his skull in your direction at all. "Um, I'm sorry I-i didn't mean to disturb y-you" you said quickly. He chuckled a bit which caught you off guard. "No no, your fine. Come sit, you seem troubled" he padded the spot next to him with his hands. His finger tips were yellow and red unlike the rest of his hand. You carefully sat next to him and placed your groceries behind you. You gazed at the stars around you in wonder, you were enjoying the scene until you felt eyes watching the side of your head. You turned toward the glitched skeleton, His eyelights watched you with interest. one eyelight was white and the other was yellow with a blue center. below his eyesockets, blue lines ran down his skull But this wasn't why you stared. Round red glasses had caught your attention. the sides of the glasses were taped to his skull where his ears would've been. you've met a few skeletons but none looked like this one. the glasses made him seem...cute somehow. He cleared his throat which snapped your back to reality, away from your thoughts.

"So what's unsettling you?" he asked, his voice didn't waver but you could swear you saw just the faintest hint of blue flash on his skull. Was that blush? you knew you shouldn't tell monsters about your past because they'd fear and isolate you. But...for some reason you felt like your could trust this glitched out skeleton. You sighed and began your story. "Well you see...I lived here with my family. We were happy until..." You shuddered. "The fire." You shook as you said it. venom laced your voice as it rolled off your tongue. "I was hanging out in my room with my sister when I heard my mother yell for us. When we got to the living room, the room was ingulfed in flames. I yelled for my parents but the fire was too big. My sister and I got out just as the fire had reached the propane stove and exploded." you paused, taking a breath and sliding your hands under you to stop them from shaking. "My sister had gotten hurt in the explosion so I yelled for help. Unfortunately, I didn't get the hep I needed. Instead, two rouge monsters popped out of nowhere, with no hesitation at all one of them lunged at my poor sister and killed her with knife. She was...g-gone." You took a deep breath, swearing you wouldn't cry in front of this strange skeleton. "I was filled with so much rage and grief that I pulled the knife out of my sister's dead body and fount the monsters. Soon other villagers gathered and I looked like a killing psychopath. I ended up killing one of the monsters but the other one left after giving me...this" you rested your hand on top of your scar. The skeleton's hand moved next to yours to touch your scar but when your fingers brushed together he brought his back to his chest quickly and looked back at the stars. "yeah, I wondered why nobody liked you here" he said. "why are you here?' this time it was his turn to sigh. "Everyone back home were beings jerks, so I came here to get my mind off things" You nodded at the simple answer. you realized it was getting late and you needed to get home. "Sorry but I have to run" You said. His eyelights followed your movements as you stood up and grabbed your bag. "alright but, hey kid?" He asked. "Hm?"
