Chapter 9 - Yours

The next day, Both Y/n and Yamaguchi were invited to Yachi's house for helping with her project. They both agreed and they were excused from showing up in the gym, even though the tournament would be held after a week since they asked Kiyoko to be excused.

After school, Yachi was leading the way as Y/n and Yamaguchi walked behind her quietly.

"Huh..Why are you guys walking behind me..? It doesn't feel good." Yachi told as she walked back to walk together with them, walking in between the both of them to be precise.

Yamaguchi looked over at her and then at Y/n, who was looking ahead and walking.

He sighed and then took out his phone, typing in something before hitting send.

Y/n felt her phone vibrate and took it out to check, to see a text from Yamaguchi. She opened it to check his text and widened her eyes as she read 'I love you.'

She looked over at him who was now looking ahead with a satisfied smile, knowing that she read the text.

'Is he pretending like nothing happened yesterday...?' she thought while looking at him.

After they reached Yachi's place, she guided them to the coffee table where they sat around the table and opened up their books to discuss the topics regarding their project.

"If you guys wanted to eat or drink something, you can just let me know..." Yachi told and they both nodded.

After around 2 hours, Y/n stood up and stretched her arms.

"Gonna use the bathroom..Where is it..?" she said before walking to where Yachi pointed.

"Haaaa...that was a long study session..My mind can't take it anymore.." Yachi told while leaning on Yamaguchi's chest, which took him by surprise, causing him to lean away from her.

"Uh-yeah... hehe" He laughed awkwardly before looking away, not knowing what to do.

"Can I ask you something..?" she looked up at him, causing him to look back at her.

"After the first time you kissed me, you never did that to me again..." She frowned. "You told me that you love me..."

He just looked at her, raising his eyebrow.

"So right now, I want you to kiss me since it's been too long." She furrowed her eyebrows and moved closer to him, while he looked away.

The bathroom door opened and closed, making Yachi get back to her normal position while Yamaguchi sighed in relief and looked at Y/n with a smile.

The three originally sat together, with Yamaguchi in between them.

While continuing to discuss the project, Yamaguchi looked at Y/n and noticed her hand was on the floor, since she was resting her body weight on the hand. He sneakingly moved his hand to place it over hers, causing Y/n to squeal in surprise.

"Huh? What happened, Y/n..?" Yachi looked at her and so did Yamaguchi.

"Is everything okay..?" He asked while squeezing her hand a little.

"Y-yeah..I..umm..cramps!! " she looked at Yachi and smiled.

"Aww..Do you need a heating pad.." She asked while Y/n shook her head.

After around half-hour or so, there was a knock on the door and Yachi stood up to check who it was through the peephole.

She gasped and ran back to where they both were.

"Stand up!! You both need to hide. Mom's outside with another client. I'll be damned if she sees you guys here.

"Wha- hide??" Y/n asked before being pulled by Yachi along with Yamaguchi.

She dragged both of them to her room and pushed both of them into the closet.

"I'm sorry, I'll let you guys out once she leaves. Please stay quiet oaky..? I'll go clean the table up now..." She said and closed the closet door.

The closet was packed with Yachi's clothing that the two didn't have enough room, forcing the two of them to stand against each other on one side of the closet instead.

Yamaguchi looked down at Y/n through the dim light, smiling at how she was pressed to his chest.

Out of nowhere, Yamaguchi started to sing 'Summertime' (here's the link for those of you who haven't listened to it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXb2BHIUZU4) and Y/n panicked while she looked at him.

"Shush!! Be quiet!" she whispered to him as she placed her hand over his mouth.

He blinked as he looked at her before holding her wrist and pulling her hand away.

"Why should I be quiet.?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Because that's what Yachi said!"

"If you want me to be quiet, I guess there's something else that you need to try." He whispered.

"What do you mea-"

Before she could complete her sentence, Yamaguchi pulled her close by her wrist and kisses her, to which she widened her eyes and whimpered through the kiss as he now intertwined her fingers with his.

He slowly pulled away and smiled at her, seeing that she was blushing.

"Well, why are you blushing..?" He pulls her chin up and makes her look at him. "Do you still wanna deny that you have feelings for me the way that I do for you..?"

She looks at him and just parted her mouth as she tried to find words to say, but was left speechless.

He smiled before cupping her cheeks with both of his hands and pulling her in for another kiss, which was gentle but a little longer than the previous one. He then pulled away before placing her forehead on hers.

"I don't care with what you say, it's evident that you're in love with me." He says softly and kisses her hand.

"I'm not-"

"Shhh.." 

Yachi's voice was soon heard coming closer and they both stood straight, waiting for her to open the door.

"I'm so sorry that took so long..." Yachi apologized and opened the door.

"Don't worry." Yamaguchi smiled and walked out, followed by Y/n.

"It's quite late right now...I think we need to leave right now." Yamaguchi told while looking at the time.

"True...I didn't even realize.." Yachi sighed and smiled. "Time passes by quickly when you're with the one you love, huh?" she looks at Yamaguchi and smiled.

"Agreed" Yamaguchi looked over at Y/n and nodded.

After they gathered their stuff and had Yachi see them off, they both walk towards Y//n's home since he decided to drop her off, given that it is really late at night.

Along the way, Yamaguchi held her hand, intertwining her fingers wit his.

"What are you doing..?" She looks at him and tries to pull her hand away.

"Holding my Princess's hand, what's wrong in that?" He shrugged.

"I'm not your Princess." She glared at him.

"Right, not yet. But we'll be soon so we need to get into a habit for PDA." he smiled.

She looks at him and sighed before continuing to walk home, and he smiled as he made circles on the back of her hand with his thumb.
