Kageyama smiled as the soft sunlight shined on the skin of his face. He was absolutely enjoying the picnic date under a cherry blossom tree.
The sunny skies, the falling sakura petals, Oikawa's head resting on his lap.
Blueberry pies, heart candies and loving kisses.
Kageyama Tobio was living the life of a main character in his favourite shoujo mangas.
He'll never ever forget such a beautiful memory.
Never.
♢️
"We're losing him!"
"Charge at 150 joules!"
"Clear!!"
Tobio's body jolted as the 150 joules of electricity was charged in hopes to make his heart beat again.
"180 joules!"
"Clear!"
A tear rolled down the sides of his face as his body jolted again. Tobio wanted to tell these good people who were trying to save his meaningless life to stop trying, and that if he died, it wasn't their fault.
Tobio was ready to die.
So why bother?
♢️
Tooru hates this.
This fucking parallel.
He was here before, in the same hospital. Only this time, he's not the one in the surgery room.
As he hurried to the where the nurse at the information desk informed him of, he could already see a few familiar faces.
Tobio's mother was crying, her husband hugging her while telling her that Tobio would be fine. Miwa was pacing back and forth, brows furrowed and arms crossed. Akaashi and Koushi were also present, just sitting there with worry on their faces.
Tooru slowly stepped towards Miwa, considering that she would be the only one he could have a conversation with without her breaking down.
"When did you guys get here?" He asked.
"About an hour ago. Where were you?"
Tooru gulped. He didn't answer that. He didn't want to tell her the truth yet he didn't want to lie. Staying quiet is all he could do. He moved to sit down next to Koushi but Miwa grabbed his arm.
"Answer me."
Tooru clenched his jaw.
"I was at the court."
"Court? What for?" Miwa asked.
Tooru glanced at the crying mother. He didn't want to tell this family about the divorcement now. Not at this hard time.
"I'll tell you when your mother is calm, Miwa." He pulled his arm away. Miwa bored her gaze into Tooru's eyes. She wasn't satisfied with the answer Tooru gave her.
