Bright and early on monday morning Gigante set out to pay Chris a visit. But as he pulled into the driveway he noticed that someone was already knocking at the door. Gigante parked and closely watched the two people at the door with anticipation. As the door opened he placed a hand on his gun ready to defend Chris if he needed to. But Chris let the two men inside so Gigante retracted his hand and patiently waited for any movement.
Chris let the two handy men inside so they could instal a door camera and alarm system. *Thanks again for coming on such short notice.* Chris said as he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. (Y/s/n) had been keeping him up a little later than he was used too so getting up as early as 10am was not too exciting for him. The two gave a quick answer and got to work. Chris casually meandered around the kitchen preparing food for everyone.
Gigante saw through an open curtian that Chris was in the kitchen and noted that he didnt seem alarmed at all. So there was nothing to do but wait for whoever was already talking to Chris to leave. Gigante grabbed a pair of binoculars and tried to see the two men that were working but one of them just so happened to look directly back. Gigante threw down the binoculars and tried to act inconspicous.
One of the handymen walked twords Chris. *I understand why you are getting this new security system now, you should have the police on speed dial for when we leave.* Chris gave the man a confused look and the handyman pointed out the window. *That guy has been sitting there ever since we arrived. He seems pretty shady to me.* The handyman shook his head and started to walk back to his work station. *Thanks.* Chris called out to him.
Chris stared out of his kitchen window for the duration of the morning wondering if he should try and get a closer look at whoever was stalking him. He eventually made up his mind and walked outside where the handymen were just finishing up. Chris casually looked over at the car and instantly recgonized Gigante. He sighed a breath of relief and admired the new security system.
*This looks great thank you.* Chris thanked the handymen. *Of course, and kid that man is still watching you. I would advise you lock this door and call the police.* Chris just went along with him until they left. As soon as there van was out of sight Gigante got out of his car and walked over to Chris.
*Long time no see.* Chris commented. *To what do I owe the pleasure.* Chris said in an excited mannor. *Well im sorry to say that I dont have any good news.* Gigante said. Chris's smile faltered and he rushed him inside. *So whats going on?* Chris asked tilting his head. *I could ask the same question.* Gigante remarked not answering a thing. *Listen for whatever reason, you have gotten on Vanya's shit list. That is not a woman you want to be messing with.*
*Wait how does she know who I am?* Chris said in a slightly paniked tone. *Well she doesnt know yet she just knows about Red Mist. Clearly you have gotten back into crimefighting and pissed off the wrong villan.* Chris gave a sigh of relief but that was short lived. *I dont know what you did but you need to make this right.* Gigante paused for a few seconds. *I dont want to have to bury another Damico.* Gigante said getting up and walking to the door.
Chris slumped down on the couch reliving moments with his father. But he soon pushed those thoughts down as he armed the security system and went to get (y/n) and (y/s/n). Chris walked slowly lost in thought. *I am happy with my actions. (y/s/n) and (y/n) are family now. The only family I have left. I will protect them even if it costs me my life.* Chris said determined that he could really keep himself and the people he cared about safe.
