EXT. COURTHOUSE - DAYS LATER
There's a large crowd of Q SUPPORTERS holding various placards supporting Q, or screaming such things as "Patriot Killers!" or "Mother Killers!" and even "Spider Beast Killers!"
The front doors of the court open, releasing a large group of REPORTERS and CAMERAMEN, who surround the five - Kyle, Stan, Leo, Eric and Jimmy - and their respective LAWYERS.
They all keep their heads down as they try to move through the reporters and cameras.
REPORTER 1: What are your feelings now that the grand jury voted to indict?
LAWYER 1 (to the five): Don't say anything, just keep moving.
REPORTER 2: Do you have anything to say to Q-Baby?
Kyle stops, which surprises everyone, including the reporters.
STAN: Kyle, this isn't the time.
KYLE: If not now, when?
LAYWER 2: Mr. Broflovski, as your lawyer I strongly advise against this!
ERIC: Goddamnit, Kyle.
Kyle looks out at the reporters and cameras, and then beyond at the protesters.
KYLE: I stand by everything I said on that video. Our lives have constantly been getting worse and we are just as at fault as we are the victims. We all have played our roles, being manipulated to fight against each other and not for each other. And, yet, we don't realize how bad it's gotten, because, it's like looking in a mirror day after day. You don't see that you're getting older, just one day, you realize you're old. The change happens slowly, a deregulation here, a lower corporate tax there. Decommissioned military gear requisitioned for this town's police, civil forfeiture enacted by that county's sheriff. In every crises, it's not the people who are saved, but the corporations who are bailed out, and come out stronger, while the people come out defeated and weakened. And like that, you wake up one day, and realize, hey, we live in a dystopian nightmare. It used to be, when there was something truly evil in this world, we could come together to fight it. But evil learned. It learned that it could put us in a constant state of fear, and turn that fear into anger, then pit that anger against each other. Its unseen hand nudges us here and there, focused on fighting over whether we should listen to scientists, or yelling about who needs to be cancelled next, while that evil continues to grow, and we continue to sink deeper into that anger and despair. It's time for us to no longer be victims! It's time for us to no longer bend under that unseen hand! It's time to fight alongside one another for the good of us all!
A moment as his words finish echoing out.
STAN: Dude, you kinda sound like -
PROTESTOR 1: Q?
PROTESTOR 2: Oh my God!
PROTESTOR 3: It's Q!
PROTESTOR 4: Where we go one, we go all!
PROTESTOR 5: Let him go!
PROTESTOR 6: Yeah! Free Q!
And the rest of the protestors pick up the "Free Q!" chant.
KYLE: Goddamnit.
