Rosa and Amy sat opposite each other in a booth at Shaw's. It had been a week since Rosa had caught Gina crying in the supply closet.

"Rosa, are you okay?" Amy asks as she takes a sip of her drink.

Rosa groans and lays her head on the table.

"Is this about you know who?"

Rosa groans once again in response. She had decided not to tell Amy about the time they spent together in the closet. She wanted those moments to belong just to her and Gina.

"I still think you should tell her how you feel."

Rosa lifts her head slightly. "Oh, yeah, I'll tell her I'm in love with her and make things awkward and ruin our friendship forever. Thanks, Amy."

"It'll be better than keeping it inside. Come on, Rosa."

Rosa sits up and meets Amy's eyes. "Can we just talk about something else, please?"

Amy nods. "Well, Jake and I agreed to start trying a few weeks ago," she says smiling. "We've already started talking about baby names and schools and--"

Amy goes on with the details of her and her husband's plans to expand their family, but Rosa is too distracted to listen fully. Admittedly, Rosa wished that she could tell Gina how she felt. She wanted to walk right up to her and tell her all the things she found so beautiful about her, about how she felt when she entered the room, about how she wanted to hold her and kiss her more than anything, about how she had never felt feelings this strong or this deep for anyone before.

Rosa sat alone in her apartment the next day. She had the day off from work and decided to spend it alone on her couch watching old movies. She was an hour into her second movie of the day when her phone buzzed.

Gina: rosa?

Rosa: yeah gina

Gina: can you do me a favor plzzz?

Rosa: depends what

Gina: just come over plzzz

Rosa: fine. see you in 30

Gina: thank youuuu

About half an hour later, Rosa arrived at Gina's apartment. She knocks quickly on the door and as it swings open, she is met with screams of a baby and an exhausted-looking Gina.

"Rosa, thank God," Gina sighs. She ushers Rosa into the apartment shuts the door behind her.

"What happened to you?" Rosa remarks.

"Bitch, what do you think happened?" Gina shoots back, gesturing to the crying child in her arms.

Rosa's eyes shift to Gina's 18-month-old daughter.

"So, what do you want me to do about it?" Rosa asks confused.

"This."

Gina quickly places her daughter in Rosa's arms and runs down the hall into her bedroom, locking the door behind her.

Rosa rushes after Gina and bangs on the door.

"The hell, Gina? You can't just leave me with your kid!" she yells.

"I'm just gonna sleep for like an hour k thanks bye!" Gina calls through the door.

Rosa groans and kicks the door before turning her attention to the child in her arms.

Three hours later, Gina enters her living room to see Rosa and Iggy playing on the floor.

"Shit, Rosa, I didn't mean to sleep for that long," Gina sighs.

"It's whatever," Rosa shrugs. "Hey your kid's pretty cool, look," she says, gesturing for Iggy's attention. "Iggy, what's my name?"

"Roro! Roro!" the toddler responds.

Rosa's eyes light up and she smiles widely as the baby says her name. The sight of her badass friend interacting so happily with her baby melts Gina's heart.

"I told you. She's a prodigy," Gina smiles, picking up her daughter. "Seriously though, thank you, Rosa. I just...couldn't calm her down and I didn't know who else to call."

Rosa stands up and puts a hand on Gina's shoulder.

"I said I'm here for you no matter what, and I meant it," Rosa says with a sincere tone, "but if you ever make me surprise babysit your child again I swear to God, Gina." she asserts in a much firmer, scarier voice.

"Fine, no more surprise babysitting." Gina rolls her eyes.

"Hey, where's Milton?" Rosa questions.

"Oh..." Gina's heart sinks. "We decided it'd better, for us and for Iggy, if we lived separately. He's still with us, he's just not with us, you know?"

"Yeah..." Rosa says quietly. "Yeah, I get it."

They stand in uncomfortable, knowing silence for a few moments.

"I'm gonna go," Rosa says softly.

"Yeah, okay," Gina responds. She opens the door and lets Rosa out. "Bye, Roro!" she calls down the hall.

Rosa rolls her eyes and grins at the nickname as she walks away.
