God, if things were different. If I could just tell her. If I could let her know how she's everything to me. If I could be with her. If I could...

The thoughts swirl through Rosa's head as Gina rests quietly in her lap. They sit there on the floor of the supply closet for nearly an hour, Rosa stroking Gina's hair and comforting her. The feeling of Gina's body on top of hers intoxicated Rosa. She held on to the woman she was so in love with, feeling her warmth and her soft, steady breaths. She wanted nothing more than to stay in this moment. Part of her wished that time would stop and they would be stuck there forever, just the two of them. Gina interrupts Rosa's beautiful fantasy as she breaks the silence.

"Rosa, you should probably..." she trails off, implying that the moment is over.

"Oh," Rosa says, falling back into reality. "Are you sure? Are you okay?"

As much as she wants Gina to be okay, she holds on to a bit of hope that Gina will say no so that she can hold her just a little longer.

"I'll be okay. You can go," Gina replies. Her tone is confident, but her eyes are weary and her expression is weak.

But Rosa accepts her answer. She lets Gina off her lap and stands them both up. Rosa brushes herself off and heads for the door.

"Rosa," Gina calls softly just as she reaches for the handle.

"Yeah?" she turns to the woman behind her.

"Thank you," she says quietly, staring at the floor.

Rosa nods kindly and leaves the closet.

"Rosa? Where have you been?" Charles questions as she reenters the bullpen.

"Wouldn't you like to know, weather boy."

She quickly sits down at her desk and resumes her work from where she left off.
