The next morning, Rosa arrives at the precinct. She had left Gina's apartment early in the morning in order to get back home and prepare herself for the day, somehow managing to get out without waking Gina. Before she left, Rosa had paused for a moment to admire the way Gina looked in the soft light of dawn. She stood taking in how calm, how gorgeous she looked. An air of uncertainty ran through Rosa's mind as she stared and admired Gina. They had kissed (a lot) and they had spent the night together, but what came next? Would they get together? Would they go back to being friends? Would they pretend the whole thing had never happened? Rosa was left alone with these anxious thoughts as she left Gina's apartment.

Gina arrives about fifteen minutes later, as per usual. She flashes Rosa a smile as she makes her way to her desk, making her blush. She sends Rosa a text as she settles into her desk.

Gina:  downstairs bathroom. 5 minutes

Rosa looks up at Gina to find her already making her way there.

Rosa waits five minutes then leaves her desk for the bathroom. She sees Gina patiently waiting for her as she walks inside.

"Hey," Rosa says shyly. "What do you need?"

"Nothing. I just wanted to see you. You left so early this morning. I didn't even get a goodbye kiss," Gina smiles slightly.

"Oh," Rosa says sounding a little flustered. "I just didn't...you..." she stammers.

"Oh, damn, did I misread this? I mean it's whatever if I did but I just figured after last night..." she trails off. Her words are confident, but there is a hint of defeat in her voice.

"Oh, no," Rosa says quickly. "I just didn't know where your head was at with...us,"

Rosa's heartbeat quickens at the realization that there really could be an us outside of what existed in her head.

"Well, I like you. A lot. And if I'm remembering correctly you're in love with me, so?" Gina grins.

"So we're doing this? You and me?" Rosa smiles back at her.

"Hell yeah."

Gina reaches up and kisses Rosa before exiting the bathroom.
