Rosa enters the bullpen and approaches Amy at her desk. She lightly taps her fist on the surface, causing her fellow detective to look up.

"Hey, can I talk to you?" Tension fills Rosa's voice as she asks the question.

Amy nods and follows Rosa to the break room.

"Is something wrong?" Amy asks concernedly once the two are inside.

"No, I'm fine I just..." Rosa takes a quick, deep breath, "I'm gonna ask Gina to marry me."

"Rosa, oh my god, that's amazing!" Amy exclaims. "But I thought you didn't want to be—"

"I know," Rosa cuts in. "I thought I didn't want to either, but a couple of weeks ago I just looked at her and...knew."

Amy nods. "Do you know when you're gonna do it?"

"Tonight."

"Rosa!" Amy yells again, throwing her arms around the woman in a hug that Rosa slowly and begrudgingly returns. "I'm so happy for you," she sighs as the hug ends. "And I'm really proud of you," she adds.

"Thanks," Rosa replies, unable to fight off the grin that begins to spread across her lips.

"Are you almost done?" Rosa asks as she leans into the doorway of her and Gina's shared bedroom.

"You can't rush perfection, Ro," Gina replies, her gaze remaining glued to her reflection as she adjusts her appearance.

Rosa enters the room, taking delicate steps across the floor until she arrives behind Gina. She slips her arms around the woman's waist and pulls her in as she places a tender kiss on her neck.

"You are perfect," Rosa sighs, meeting Gina's eyes in the mirror. She pulls Gina's body to face hers and presses their lips together.

"Now hurry up before I leave you here," she adds, just barely pulling away from Gina's mouth to articulate the words.

With another quick peck, Rosa exits the room with Gina following behind her just a few moments later.

The pair heads off to dinner at a restaurant in the city. Though Rosa much preferred eating dinner from the comfort of her own kitchen, she was determined to show Gina how much she loved her tonight, even if that meant stepping out of her comfort zone. And to her surprise, Gina readily accepted the invitation without a tinge of suspicion.

After dinner, an apprehensive Rosa and an unsuspecting Gina find themselves back inside the car. Initially, Rosa thought she might propose at the restaurant but eventually settled on a bigger, better plan. The ride was just like any other, songs from some playlist Gina had made playing low on the car's speakers as the two chatted casually about anything and everything. It isn't until Rosa parks the car that Gina's suspicion begins to rise.

"Ro, where are we?" Gina asks from the passenger seat as she scans her unfamiliar surroundings.

"Okay, I'm gonna show you something but you have to close your eyes until we get there."

"It's the middle of the night and you're taking me to a strange location and telling me to close my eyes." She sits with the thought for a few moments before speaking again. "Aw, Ro, are you finally gonna murder me? I can't believe it took you so long."

"Come on," she says offering a hand to Gina, "I can't keep the guys who are gonna help me bury your dismembered body in an unmarked grave waiting," she smirks.

Grinning widely, Gina lets her eyelids fall as she takes Rosa's hand. Rosa pulls Gina to her side, placing her free hand across Gina's eyes in order to ensure that they would remain closed. Rosa proceeds to guide Gina out of the parking lot toward their destination.

"Okay, open them," Rosa says as she slowly lifts her hand.

As Gina opens her eyes, a small gazebo decorated with hanging lights and roses comes into view. The structure sat atop a hill and overlooked a small pond. Soft, glowing light rippled across the water's surface as the full moon shone onto it.

"Ro, what is all this?" Gina gasps in awe.

"Come here," Rosa says gently, leading Gina inside.

Rosa takes Gina's hands into hers as they sit on a small bench.

The pair take in the view in silence for a few moments, each carefully listening to the rhythm of the other's breaths.

"Ro, this is beautiful. How did you find it?" Gina asks.

"My first apartment was three blocks away from here, I've always known about this spot. Didn't start coming here a lot until a few years ago though," Rosa answers.

"Oh?"

"Yeah. I used to come here to be alone and think about this girl I liked," she grins. "Man, I was so in love with her. And I couldn't even tell her how I felt."

Gina begins to blush. "Whatever happened to her?"

"Oh, I'm still in love with her, so insanely in love with her. She's the love of my life, my whole world. And I think..." she trails off, reaching into her jacket. Rosa shifts off of the bench onto one knee and pulls a small velvet box from the pocket of her jacket. "I think I wanna marry her." Rosa opens the box to reveal a sparkling diamond ring.

"So, Regina Linetti, will you marry me?"

Gina's heart leaps inside her chest as her eyes dart between Rosa's face and the box resting in her hand. Her breathing becomes rapid and shallow as she tries to form her next sentence.

"I..."
