He was from the enemy clan. Bani had to keep reminding herself that every time his eyes looked intently at him. He didn't want to feel things for him but somewhere deep inside she knew he had the charm. Especially when he took off the helmet and got off him bike. He had the attitude to match his killer looks.

He's from the enemy clan, Bani. She had to keep reminding herself.

They stopped before the Cheel Mansion. Bani was confused.

"Ruk kyu gaye?" Bani asked.

"Yahan kyu bulaya hai?" Samrat showed up. Vanshika was next to him. The two had just seemingly finished another round of bickering.

"Sam, Bani ko lagta hai ki maa Markaat hai." Veer told him. Sam looked at the two for a moment.

"Markaat? Are you high on drugs?" Sam asked.

"Sam, you said yourself that you returned back here because you felt danger seeping around our family. Dad thinks that danger is Bani because she's Adi-Naagin. Fair call since Bani threatened to kill them. Bani thinks that maa, who she thinks is Markaat, is the danger around us." Veer explained calmly. Sam thought for a moment.

"Doesn't fit well, Veer bhai. She seems too much a bheegi billi to be Markaat. That's a tall claim. If she knew what Markaat is capable of, she wouldn't make that tall claim. I'm not saying that she's going to lie but it doesn't sit right that the woman who lived around us for so long is Markaat. Markaat is incapable of not causing death and destruction. It is like a drug addition to Markaat to destroy and kill. That kill is what gives him power." Sam pointed out.

"The point here is that we need to prep up. If what Bani said is true about maa being Markaat. She will act. We have to plan." Veer said. He turned to Bani, "Bani, tum chahti ho ki main tumhari help karun aur tumhara saath du taaki hum use khatam kar sake jo hum sabh ke liye dushman. But no one can work in a team unless they put their trust in each other. I trust Sam out of all my family member."

"I know that I have Vanshika who will stand with me." Bani said.

"Good because I trust her as well." Veer nodded. Both Vanshika and Sam trusted Veer.

"Now, there are a few things we have to do to get to the truth. As it seems maa is human. I want you two on the job to find out. Ab suno..." Veer signalled them to get closer. "Ghar mein party hamesha hoti hai, aaj bhi rakhenge. So, that's less doubtful. Set the light off. When they go out, that's when she will seek to strike. If Jay is involved with her, he will take her away with him. We will let Bani pretend that she's drunk. That's when they'll presume it is easy to take her away. One of us have to be around Bani and keep our senses open. Sam, I want you around because you can feel the threat incoming. Distract bikul mat hona. We can't afford slip ups."

Three of them nodded. Vanshika and Sam went to their individual work.

Bani looked at Veer.

"What are you looking at?" He asked.

"How do stay so calm when everything seems to be breaking apart? You're practically on the verge of finding out that your mother is Markaat." Bani asked. The two were leaning against his bike. He drank from his flask.

"Sanki, Bani, sabh mujhe sanki bulate hai. Crazy people know when to go bat-shit crazy and when to contain it. You can trust a crazy person to be crazy enough. Also, perhaps Vodka helps." He answered showing her the flask.

"Life mein kabhi serious nahi ho sakte ho tum?" Bani asked exasperated.

"Tum mujhe keh rahi ho? At least I act. You just become all the more stone-like and robotic. Khud mein hi confused rehti ho but mujhe keh rahi ho." He chuckled.
