Markaat was a tyrant. A monster that infested the world. Yet, Veer couldn't stop the pain emerging from his chest. All that Veer paid with to reach the end. To end him. Twice, he saw the woman who gave birth to him die before his eyes. The loss of his innocence. As Aakesh he never had space for innocence.

Yet, it was the truth that it takes a monster to kill another monster. He was the perfect heir of Markaat. He had the same madness. Veer wanted that violence singing in his blood to stop. The song of violence was subsiding. Markaat had picked on the disastrous side of him.

He kept pouring water over himself to calm himself down but still that crackling violence under his skin didn't settle down. The beast's hunger hadn't subsided and refused to leave until it was fed.

The blood flowed down with the water as Veer tried to drown that song of violence ringing in his ears. He sat down in the bathtub. He pushed his head back against the rim of the tub. The anger and rage weren't leaving.

Bani walked in and saw him. It took one look to let her know that Veer wasn't okay. She walked ahead towards. She sat at the edge of the bathtub.

"Bani, please jaao. I have no control over myself right now. That rage isn't leaving me. The violence wouldn't douse out." Veer felt agitated. He was trying to cut that rage with irritation. Bani smiled at him. One thing she knew was more powerful than any other emotion in him. His love for her. She offered him her hand. Veer sighed but gave her his hand. Bani entangled her fingers between.

"You remember uss jab puri tarah andhera ho gaya tha toh I felt uneasy. But you stayed with me and held me close to you. Waise hi, you're running from yourself because you're scared that you'll end up being a monster like Markaat. That uneasy feeling in your heart is keeping you from relaxing."

Bani pressed his forehead against hers. Every single emotion inside him dwarfs down when clashes against his love for her.

"I don't want to be the next Markaat. What if soon enough, I become like him too? Sanki aur pagal toh pehle se hi hun. Uski tarah mental patient ban gaya toh?"

"Iss duniya mein agar koi hai jo tumhe puri tarah control kar sakta hai toh woh main hun, Veeranshu Singhania. Aisa kabhi hua hi nahi hai ki maine tumse tumhara haath maanga hoga aur tumne nahi diya ho. Pichli baar I failed to understand why you and I crossed paths, Veeranshu. Abh jabh mujhe pata hai toh chance hi nahi hai ki I'm going to mess it up. Especially since tumse itna pyaar hai. Mujhse tume koi nahi cheen sakta. Tum bhi nahi. Sawaal hi nahi aata tumhe chodne ka. Is musibat ko apne gale tumne hi bandha hai."

Veer chuckled. Bani knew she had to distract him from all that worry. Veer was generally someone who is quick to organize himself. Markaat had picked on the insane side of him. Now his mind had become highly chaotic. That wasn't giving him the space to think and calm down.

Bani leaned close to him and kissed his lips. Veer held the back of her head and kissed her passionately. They pulled away when it became necessary to breathe. Bani kissed his cheeks. She helped him take off his jacket and shirt. Then took out his boots. She poured water over him, cleaning off all the blood. He just stared at her. She got him to get off the bathtub.

Three days past the incident, Bani decided she was going take him out. Enough of staying inside the house.

"Maine yahan kapde rakhe hai. Change kar lo." Bani told him. By the time, Veer came out changing his clothes, Bani was ready. She wore black jeans, his white buttoned up shirt and her boots. There was a bag on the bed. He noticed a dress put in the bag with his black suit. There was a small box. Her makeup bag. Veer was confused.
