Judeor exited the shower and put on a fresh pair of breeches and a shirt, and his dark brown jacket. He went to the canteen, and sat down next to Renlas, Akala and Lorya. They were discussing something. "Has anything interesting happened?" he asked. "Akalos has been attacked. A small fleet under Admiral Zalor is en route. Lurana, Kirtan and Kylara are with them" Lorya replied.

"I have a feeling Akalos isn't their actual target. They could be luring our fleets away from the Jorna Octagon. If they take that, Ykamas, Alveor, Kyrama and Lok Etreon could be compromised" said Judeor, shaking his head. "Jorna Octagon is protected by one of our strongest fleets, and so are the others. You know that better than anyone" said Akala.

"I also know that unless Lynaxa's tactics changed, a massive Legion fleet could be amassing as we speak, and take them all out. Remember, I fought for her once, so nothing she ever does ever surprises me" Judeor replied. "You worry too much. The battle of Kyrama did a number on you" said Renlas. "That may be" Judeor replied, inclining his head.

Admiral Zalor's fleet exited lightspeed over Akalos. Sure enough, the Legion ships were busy dismantling the remaining Alliance defenses. Lurana, Kirtan and Kylara stood by her side, looking out into the space. "Admiral, we are detecting several Legion fleets coming out of lightspeed! This is a trap!" "We have to retreat now!" the admiral ordered. "It's too late! They have us surrounded!" "Can we send a transmission to base?" she asked.

"No. All our comms are blocked!" "They just launched a boarding party. Several Legion Knights are with them" said Lurana. Indeed, several dozen boarding craft boarded Admiral Zalor's flagship. They blitzed through the Alliance soldiers and reached the bridge. Exeroz, Deraal and Oteara, along with another Legion Knight were with them.

Kirtan faced Exeroz and the other Knight, while Lurana and Kylara battled Deraal and Oteara. Kirtan swung his weapon, the silver energy blade deflecting several blaster bolts, sending them back at the troopers . He conjured an earth wall, separating the Knights and a few Legion soldiers from the rest of the task force. He conjured metal disks and hurled them at his foes, killing the rest of the soldiers, as Exeroz and the other Knight attacked him with their magic. Exeroz launched an air wave at him, which Kirtan countered with an earth wall and retaliated with more metal disks.

He danced out of the way of the other Knight's laser gun. He conjured a metal shield and gritted his teeth as more energy shots struck it, the electricity going off into his forearm. He then closed the distance and knocked the laser gun out of the Knight's hands with a swipe of his shield and slashed, landing a shallow cut on the Knight's shoulder. He kicked him in the gut, dropping him to the floor and raised his weapon for the killing blow.

Exeroz pushed him away with an air wave. Kirtan recovered and faced them again. He now knew that the new Knight would be relatively easy to beat, though Exeroz was a different matter entirely. He conjured rings of metal disks around him. He attacked, directing some of the disks at Exeroz, distracting him, and then ducked under an energy blast and encased the other Knight's legs in metal, pinning him in place.

He closed the distance, flipping over another energy blast and cleaved the energy gun in two, and stabbed the Knight in the heart, killing him. Then, Exeroz seized him in an air grip and hurled him against the hull of the ship. Kirtan conjured a metal shield around him, but Ezeroz's green blade burned through and pierced his gut. Kirtan dropped, and the metal shield dissolved. Thinking he had killed him, Exeroz attacked the other Altiris Knights.

Kylara saw her cousin going down, though not before he killed the other Legion Knight, and barely evaded a death blow from Oteara. She deflected her lightning with her sword and pushed her back with an air wave, knocking her out. Exeroz attacked her, and their blades collided. She ducked under his next strike and kicked him in the gut. Exeroz retaliated, grazing her hip. Kylara launched an air wave at him, and attacked again.

Lurana blocked Deraal's strike and attacked, locking her energy pike with his sword. She kicked him in the shin, breaking his leg and moved to the side, letting him stumble forward and impaled him, her yellow blade coming out of his neck. She saw Oteara rising to her feet and attacking Kylara. Lurana launched a burst of lightning at her, distracting her, and attacked, her yellow blade meeting Oteara's purple. Oteara unleashed a torrent of lightning, which Lurana repelled with her palm, sending it back at Oteara, and attacked, the metal end of her pike finding Oteara's gut. Oteara retaliated, landing a few hits on her opponent, though Lurana's armor deflected them. Lurana kicked her in the shoulder and closed the distance, placing her palm on the Legion Knight's unprotected chest, and unleashed a torrent of lightning.

Kirtan rose to his feet and activated his energy blade. Deraal was already down, while Kylara and Lurana battled Oteara and Exeroz. He rushed to Kylara's side, distracting Exeroz with a few metal disks, as Kylara blasted him into the earth wall he created, the air wave stunning the Knight briefly, though he recovered, and retaliated in kind, throwing them both into a chair. "Oteara, let's go!" he said, as he destroyed the earth wall and they rushed out of the ship. "Are you hurt?" asked Kylara. "I am fine. We must focus on saving the fleet" Kirtan replied.

Out in space, the remaining Alliance ships were slowly taken out by the superior firepower of the Legion. Then, the Legion forces retreated, and jumped to lightspeed. "What's going on?" asked Lurana. "This was a trap."
