Book 4:Chapter 7:Alliance Victory

Admiral Bantaas's remaining ships emerged out of hyperspace over the Legion world of Keir Kala. Bantaas heard his com link beep, and accepted the call.

"Admiral Bantaas, we are expecting you" said Lynaxa. "I am on my way, supreme commander" he replied. He boarded a shuttle and flew to the large dreadnought that was Lynaxa's flagship.

"You lost the battle, I take it" said Lynaxa, as he entered the bridge. "Yes, I have. We were winning, when a large Alliance fleet joined the battle, and destroyed most of our ships. We were forced to retreat, to save at least some" Bantaas replied. "I saw great potential in you, Bantaas. But now, I fear that I made a mistake. Pity. There is only one way to correct it" said Lynaxa.

"My lady?" Bantaas managed to say before Lynaxa seized him in an air grip, and unleashed a barrage of lightning, as he screamed, unable to withstand the pain. She sent waves of dark energy at him, slowly drawing the life out of him. He saw Admiral Fioris and Admiral Veeren looking at him, sympathy in their faces.

"Good bye, Bantaas" the admiral heard, before everything turned black.

"Let this be an example to you all" she said. They all looked at her, fear in their eyes.

Admirals Zalor, Virsol and Urixan, Judeor, Akala, Kirtan, Valhares, Thea, Alkaeta, Elias and Istara gathered in the command center on Vanraael.

"I managed to place a tracker on their flagship before they escaped. They are in full retreat now. All the way to Keir Kala. We have to gather all our fleets and strike there, before they figure out we tracked them" said Judeor. "It will take some time for all our ships to gather, so we will move out now. The rest will catch up" said Admiral Urixan.

The Alliance fleet entered lightspeed, for the final battle.

Kirtan, Judeor, Akala, Valhares, Alkaeta, Thea, Elias and Istara boarded a shuttle and flew to the flagship. They cut down the Legion soldiers on the way and entered the bridge. Valhares, Kirtan and Judeor attacked Lynaxa, while Alkaeta, Thea, Elias and Istara battled the Legion war droids and Legion Commandos, along with Admirals Veeren and Fioris. Akala battled Valtea.

Elias fired his energy gun, taking down another Commando, and slammed the muzzle into a war droid's head, knocking it out. Istara stabbed a Commando through the gut, and sent out a barrage of ice spears, taking down a few more. She and Elias held them off, allowing Thea and Alkaeta to focus on Veeren and Fioris.

Alkaeta swung, her staff meeting Fioris's sword. He retaliated, slamming his elbow into her jaw. He pressed his attack, and locked his sword against her staff, driving her back. She delivered a palm strike to his shoulder, knocking him off balance and kicked him in the cheek. He spit out a few of his teeth and landed a shallow cut on her forearm. She moved back and thrust, her staff striking his gut and pushed him back with a triple kick to the gut.

Thea blocked Veeren's strike and retaliated, her swords clashing against Veeren's. She kicked her in the gut, just as Veeren slammed her elbow in her sternum and landed a cut on her cheek. Thea jerked back and stabbed her foe in the shoulder.

Akala sent out a metal barrage, which Valtea deflected with ice, and then retaliated with her weapon. Their energy whips wrapped around each other. Akala discarded her weapon and attacked, meeting Valtea's kicks and hand strikes. She ducked under Valtea's kick and swept her off her feet. Valtea launched a water whip, which Akala blocked with an earth wall. She sent out an earth barrage, pushing Valtea back.

Valtea knocked her back with an ice spear, but Akala blocked it with a metal shield, shattering the spear and wrapped her arms around Valtea's, and snapped it, just as Valtea sent an ice shard in her gut. Akala pushed her back and quickly healed her wound. Valtea attacked her with an ice and water barrage, but Akala defended, and retaliated, driving her back. She finished her with an earth ball to the face and closed the distance, snapping her neck.

Kirtan, Akala, Valhares and Judeor unleashed waves of earth, fire, air and lightning on Lynaxa, but she was able to defend, though with great difficulty on her part. Judeor slashed, his saber staff blocked by Lynaxa's white energy blades. Kirtan sent out an earth barrage, distracting her. Valhares stabbed her in the gut, but was thrown back by an air wave. Lynaxa sent out a barrage of lightning. Akala conjured an earth wall, blocking the bolts and knocked her back with a metal barrage. Judeor unleashed a torrent of lightning, which Lynaxa repelled with her palm. Judeor absorbed the energy and unleashed an air wave, sending her into the ship's  hull.

Elias and Istara finished off the remaining war droids and attacked Lynaxa. She deflected their attacks and sent out waves of dark energy, burning their bodies to a crisp. Akala kicked her in the shoulder and delivered several palm strikes to her chest. Lynaxa seised her in a water grip and pushed her away with an air wave. Vahares stopped her blow and sliced through her wrist, and snapped her arm. Lynaxa pushed him away.

Exeroz sighed, as he dropped out of his meditation, contemplating what he just saw. A possible Legion victory, the destruction of the Alliance, and enslavement for the people of the galaxy. He knew he could not allow himself to stand by and let his vision turn into a reality. He checked his equipment, and, satisfied with its condition, rushed to his star fighter. He put in the coordinates for Keir Kala and jumped to lightspeed.

He saw the Legion and Alliance ships battle each other. Then, more and more fleets joined the battle. The Alliance fleet now outnumbered the Legion nearly 12 to 1. He flew to the flagship, shooting down a few Legion star fighters on the way. He landed in the hangar and rushed to the bridge. Lynaxa stood there, with Valhares, Judeor, Kirtan and Akala all attacking her. She separated Valhares from the rest and disarmed him, before slicing through his chest.

She pinned Judeor, Akala and Kirtan in place with air. Already she was preparing to finish them off. Exeroz sent his weapon at her, manipulating it with air. Lynaxa deflected the attack, allowing the Altiris Knights to free themselves. Exeroz attacked, not allowing her to use her magic. He landed a few cuts on her shoulders and already broken arm and stabbed her through the gut.

"You die now, traitor" she said menacingly, and unleashed a torrent of lightning, completely oblivious to everyone else. "Not yet" said a voice behind her, as Judeor sent her head to the floor with a swing of his saber staff. "Thank you for your help. We are all in your debt" he said. "I couldn't let her win" Exeroz replied, retrieving his weapon.

Alkaeta locked Fioris's arm and snapped it. She knocked him to the floor and slammed her staff in his sternum. Beside her, Thea disarmed Veeren and knocked her to the floor as well.

Judeor leaned down next to Valhares and placed his fingers to his neck. "He is alive, but not for long" he said. "Come on. We must go back" said Kirtan. Exeroz, Akala, Kirtan, Thea, Alkaeta and Judeor ran back to their ships, Judeor dragging Valhares and his weapon with him.

Exeroz got on his star fighter and the rest got back on their shuttle, and then to the Alliance flagship. Valhares was placed in the med bay, for his injuries to heal. The remaining Legion forces surrendered, and the crews were taken prisoner. The Alliance fleet returned to Vanraael.
