Book 3:Chapter 7:Retake of Alveor

Judeor, Akala, Kirtan, Valhares, Admiral Zalor, Admiral Virsol and Admiral Urixan gathered in the command center on Kyrama, the new Alliance Headquarters, discussing their next move.

"Our recent attacks caught them off guard. Most of their forces are too far away from Alveor, as they don't expect an attack there. That is to our advantage. We can strike there, and then, with luck, continue our offensive" said Admiral Urixan. "Indeed. However, we must take all precautions. This could be a trap. And only one of us can go. The rest will have to stay with our other fleets" said Kirtan. "I shall go" said Valhares. "It's settled, then. Let's move" said Admiral Zalor.

A large Alliance fleet emerged from lightspeed over Alveor, and attacked the Legion defenses. Valhares could sense two Legion Knights in the Legion base on the surface of the planet, and directed a few dozen troop carriers there, along with several dozen tanks. He led the attack, protecting the Alliance ground forces with fire walls, all the while shredding the enemy.

At last, after an hour of fighting, he spotted the two Legion Knights. They seemed to have noticed him too, for they turned their attention away from the Alliance soldiers and tanks, and focused on him. He deflected their earth and water attacks, and retaliated with his spear and fire. He blocked a few strikes and kicked his foe in the gut, and threw her back with a fire wave. He was thrown into an ice wall, and the two Knights pelted him with earth and ice attacks. He created a fire shield around himself, and retaliated, his spear finding the earth wielder's gut. Valhares pushed her away and concentrated on the water wielder.

The Alliance fleet outnumbered the Legion by far, and were slowly taking their ships out one by one. Several Alliance cruisers concentrated their firepower on an already flaming Legion dreadnought, taking it down. A star fighter squadron protected an Alliance corvette from a Legion bomber squadron, taking all of them down, saving the corvette. Several Alliance ships broke through to the surface, wreaking havoc through the enemy lines. The battle was almost over.

Valhares blocked another strike from the water wielder and engulfed her into a fire ball, ending her with a spear thrust to the heart. He turned his attention back to the earth wielder, blocking his strike and leapt over him, slicing through his shoulder with his spear. The Legion Knight turned, and slammed him into an earth wall, and pelted him with metal attacks. Valhares grunted as the projectiles hit him, and propelled his spear forward, aiding with fire. He disarmed his foe and slashed him across the neck, killing him as well.

Meanwhile, the remaining Legion ships were destroyed, and the remaining Legion ground forces surrendered.
