A small Alliance patrol group flew over the Alliance controlled world of Virneal. "Run a thermal scan" ordered the admiral. "There are no other life forms present in the area, sir." "Something is off" said one of the two Altiris Knights beside the admiral.
As if on cue, a Legion battle group exited lightspeed. "They blocked our comms" said an officer. "And they appear to have some sort of interdiction technology with them. We can not escape" the officer added. "Detect it and concentrate all our firepower on that ship" ordered the admiral. "We can't. It's too well shielded, and they are already moving into the attack" the officer replied. "They have a Legion Knight with them" said the other Altiris Knight.
The Alliance ships opened fire, taking down two of the attackers, but the rest swarmed them, quickly gaining the upper hand.
Exeroz and the Legion soldiers landed their shuttle in the flagship's hangar, while their fleet attacked the Alliance ships, destroying a few of them before their star fighters could be launched. They carved through the Alliance soldiers, though a few of them went down. Then, they engaged into a fire fight with another squad. Only two of the Legion soldiers survived, but they kept moving, eventually reaching the bridge.
He looked at the Altiris Knights before him. He directed the soldiers to stand down, and attacked, his double bladed energy sword clashing with theirs, green colliding with red and orange. He knocked one back with an air wave and blocked a few strikes, as he launched another air wave. His foe blocked with a wall of fire, and sent a few fire whips his way. Exeroz protected himself and the soldiers with an air shield, and attacked again. He disarmed his foe and knocked him to the ground. He raised his weapon for the kill, but an orange blade blocked it, and the Altiris Knight unleashed a water wave, and cut his face with an ice dagger. Exeroz seized her in an air grip, choking the life out of her. He shifted his hand, and her neck snapped, as she collapsed, limp. The other pushed him away and cut him across the cheek. Exeroz blocked his next strike, and they dueled for a short time, before Exeroz disarmed him and impaled him in the abdomen. He and the soldiers returned to their fleet, and the cruiser, along with the remaining Alliance star fighters, was destroyed.
