Book 2:Chapter 7:Rescue Mission

Kirtan, Valhares and fourteen Alliance Commandos waited, as the small shuttle entered Ven Rakka's atmosphere, undetected by the many Legion ships. They landed in the prison hangar, which was now empty. They exited the ship, and rushed to the cells. Suddenly, they ran into a squad of Legion Commandos. The Alliance Commandos outnumbered them, and with the Knights' help, managed to take them all out without much noise, though five of the Alliance Commandos went down.

"We were lucky. Come on, before more of them show up" said Kirtan. They hurried on, and finally spotted Judeor's cell, guarded by ten Legion Commandos, Exeroz and Valtea. Having felt them, they turned, as did the Commandos with them. "Ah, we knew you would come" said Exeroz. Suddenly, another squad of Commandos appeared behind them, along with Yaren and two other Legion Knights.

"Surrender now, and you shall be spared" said Exeroz. "If we are going down, then we shall take you with us" said Kirtan, and launched a barrage of earth attacks at him. He attacked, ducking under Valtea's energy whip and blocked Exeroz's air attack. He blocked an ice spear from Valtea and crumpled the metal around her. She managed to get out before she was trapped, but went straight into Kirtan's earth barrage. Kirtan turned his attention to Exeroz. He attacked, his energy sword locking Exeroz's and his foot striking his chin, while  simultaneously crushing the door to Judeor's cell, along with his chains.

Judeor felt the chains crumple, and rushed out of the cell. He spotted Exeroz and Kirtan battling each other, Valhares going up against Yaren and two other Legion Knights, and Valtea creeping up behind Kirtan. "Kirtan, behind you!" he yelled. Kirtan put up an earth wall around him, and acknowledged him with a nod. Judeor ran to Valhares, who had already dispatched one of his opponents and was dueling the other two. Yaren's and Valhares's mind wielding nullified the other's, while Yaren's earth wielding and the other Legion Knight's lightning kept Valhares on his back foot.

Judeor attacked the lightning wielder, wielding the dead Legion Knight's gold energy blade. He repelled his lightning with his palm and sent out his own lightning and a powerful air wave, pushing his foe back. Judeor slashed, the Legion Knight's sword meeting his gold blade. Judeor sidestepped a stab and grasped his wrists, pulling him forward and slammed his elbow in the Knight's forehead. He blocked a clumsy strike and swept his foe off his feet, and finished him with a downward thrust to his heart. Valhares was still dueling Yaren, and Kirtan was still battling Exeroz and Valtea.

Judeor attacked Exeroz, allowing Kirtan to focus fully on Valtea. He slashed, bringing the energy sword down on Exeroz's guard. He sent out a torrent of lightning, which Exeros blocked with one of his blades, and an air wave, pushing Exeroz back. Knowing he could not take Judeor down alone, Exeroz ran. Valtea and Yaren followed him. "Thanks for coming after me" said Judeor. "It's nothing. Come on. Let's get your weapon and get the hell outta here" said Valhares. They and the five remaining Alliance Commandos ran to the armory. Judeor retrieved his weapon and they raced to the shuttle, which was luckily still there. They again flew by the Legion ships and jumped to lightspeed, emerging over Lok Etreon.

"We are grateful for your safe return. Now, we must come up with a plan to retake Alveor, while still maintaining control over Laxis, Lok Etreon, Kyrama, Vanraael, Akalos, Ilmaer, Laxis, Ykamas and the Jorna Octagon" said Admiral Urixan. "There shouldn't be any attack on Alveor for a while. We have to strengthen our defenses, especially around Ykamas, Kyrama, Lok Etreon, Vanraael and the Jorna Octagon. We can give up Ilmaer and Akalos, and spread the ships in those two fleets among our most important worlds" said Judeor. "Alright, but we can not stay on the defensive for long" he replied.
