Troye grins happily as he waddles next to Jacob to the doctors office.

Today, Troye is 21 weeks and it's the day they find out the sex of the baby.

Walking inside, they walk to the counter and sign in, being told to have a seat and wait for their doctor to call them back.

"Jakie, I'm so excited," Troye whispers, softly clapping his hands.

"I know, baby, me too," Jacob chuckles.

Before Troye could say anything, his name is called making him gasp and begin to stand up.

Struggling slightly, Jacob helps him and laughs at the wide grin that never leaves the blond's face.

"How are you guys today?" The doctor asks as they're taken into a familiar room.

"I'm excited!"

"I can tell! Are you hoping for a boy or a girl?"

Troye shrugs, "It doesn't really matter to me."

The doctor smiles, and looks at Jacob who points to Troye and mouths "girl" making the doctor grin.

"Alright, Troye, if you'll just have a seat and lift your shirt, we can get started."

Troye sits down in the gray leather seat and lifts his shirt above his belly.

He watches as she squirts the familiar clear gel on his belly.

He squeezes Jacob's hand as she picks up the remote thingy and begins to spread the gel around with it.

The two boys watch the screen despite not knowing exactly what they're looking for.

Troye grins as he hears the baby's heartbeat.

"You guys want to know the sex right now?"

"Yes, yes, yes," Troye says impatiently, smiling widely.

"Well congratulations, you are having a...baby girl."

Troye bursts into tears and grips his boyfriend into a tight hug, "We're having a girl, Jakie!"

"I know, babe, I'm so happy," Jacob mumbles hugging the blond back.

"Around this time is when some carriers begin to feel kicking or movement. Have you felt anything at all?"

Troye shakes his head slowly, "N-no? Should I have?"

"No, no, no, don't panic, honey. You're only in your second trimester. Many don't start feeling their babies kick until late second, or even third trimester. It's nothing to worry about at all, I promise you."

Troye lets out a breath and nods, "Okay."

"Now that you're getting bigger, you will notice some changes with your body. Some develop stretch marks, slight back pain, stuff you would except to get while pregnant. If you have any questions or feel that there's something wrong, feel free to come in or just give me a quick call."

"Thank you."

"It's no problem at all. Any questions before we part ways for the day?"

"D-do we get pictures?" Troye grins shyly.

The doctor chuckles, "I'll bring them in."

"So have you two talked about names at all? You know she's a girl now, so are there any ideas?"

The young couple look at each other as if just now realizing the baby would need a name.

Mama Laurelle laughs, "You still have four months, there's no rush."

It's quiet for a minute as they continue to eat their dinner.

Laurelle speaks up again, "Troye, honey, do you plan to get a job? I know right now it's kind of overwhelming with everything, but maybe a while after she's born?"

Troye nods instantly, "I've actually been kinda looking for one already. But not many people are fond of...pregnant boys."

The room becomes silent again making Troye clear his throat, "It's okay, though. I'll try after she's here and my belly isn't huge."

"I have some stuff for you guys by the way," Laurelle states after a moment. "It's in the attic, so I'll get it after dinner, but I figured you guys would appreciate it."

Once everyone is finished eating, Laurelle, Tyde, and Sage go to the attic and begin to bring totes down.

"Mom, what is all this stuff?"

"Baby items. It'll save you a ton of money, I promise. With this stuff, the most you'll have to buy is diapers, wipes, stuff like that. I have clothes from you and your siblings, bottles, pacifiers—yes they've been disinfected—, changing pads, two diaper bags, you can use Madi's old one if you want, and there's even the crib that I used for all four of you."

Troye wraps his mother in a hug as tears roll down his cheeks, "Mom, this means so much!"

"Oh, honey," Laurelle chuckles, hugging her son back. "Why don't you go lie down? Your moods are getting out of control."

"Okay," Troye blubbers as Jacob rubs his back and guides him to their shared bedroom.

The two lie down and Troye sniffles, "Jakie?"

"Hm?"

"I love you."

"I love you too, sweetheart."

"We should start-" Troye cuts himself off with a gasp.

"What?"

Troye gasps again.

"What's wrong?"

Quickly, the blond grabs Jacob's hand and places it on his stomach.

Jacob grins as he feels his daughter kick his boyfriend.

"Jakie!" Troye squeaks as new tears begin to pour.

"Oh my gosh, Tro, you're just a broken faucet today, aren't you?" Jacob chuckles.

Troye laughs through his tears as Jacob cups his cheeks and kisses his lips.

"Jacob, we're gonna be daddies."

Jacob grins softly, leaning his forehead against the blond's , leaving the two in a comfortable silence.
