Troye sits in the leather hospital chair happily as he watches his nurse carefully prepare Bailey to be held.

"Do I have to do anything?" Troye asks.

"Nope, just sit there and enjoy the moment," the nurse smiles.

Carefully, she lifts the preemie girl and places her on Troye's half-bare chest, covering both of them with the pink blanket Bailey was delivered with.

Instantly, the little girl curls into the new surface, making Troye squeak as he holds her head against his body. Gently stroking her head with his finger, he looks up at Jacob, "I can feel her heart beating."

Jacob grins.

"You're so tiny," Troye whispers, looking down at the pink bundle in his arms. "Oh my goodness, you're tiny."

"How much does she weigh?" Jacob asks.

"Jacob, don't you know it's rude to ask how much a girl weighs?" Troye jokes.

The nurse laughs softly as Jacob rolls his eyes playfully.

"She is currently two pounds."

"Even?"

"Mhm."

"How much did she weigh when she was first delivered?" Troye asks, sort of scared for the answer.

The nurse hums and grabs a clipboard hanging on the wall by a sign that reads "Baby Sivan".

"She was born at a pound and thirteen ounces. She would have been very small even if she came at full-term."

"Make sense," Troye says.

"I think. My siblings and I were all born really tiny."

"At full term?"

Troye nods, "Except my sister. She was born three weeks early. But out of the four of us, my youngest brother weighed the heaviest at...5? 6 pounds? And some odd ounces."

"Family history then," the nurse nods. She turns to Jacob. He cuts her off before she can say anything.

"That's all him. I'm the oldest out of my four siblings and I was born the lightest at 8 pounds."

"Oh," the nurse laughs. "You're the oldest of four siblings?"

"Yeah, I got two sisters and a brother."

"Me too! I'm the youngest though."

Troye glances between the two for a moment. He smiles lightly, "I'm the oldest of four too."

The nurse looks at him and smiles, "Oh yeah? That's cool."

Troye's smiles drops as she immediately turns back to Jacob and continues to talk. He rolls his eyes at her fake laugh at something Jacob says. Deciding not to let it bother him, he looks down at the little girl in his arms and smiles. Unsure of whether or not it would be smart to kiss her, he kisses his fingertips and presses them softly against her head.

He gasps suddenly as she spits up onto his chest, "Oh, honey. Oh goodness."

Jacob and the nurse turn to look and instantly the nurse is cleaning up his skin as well as the baby's mouth.

"It might be time to switch," the nurse chuckles lightly, beginning to grab Bailey before either parent could say anything.

Troye continues to hold her close as Jacob speaks, "No, that's okay. He can hold her a bit longer."

"But you're her father too."

"Excuse me," Troye says, beginning to get pissed. "Yeah, he is her father. He's also my boyfriend, so stop flirting with him. He says I can still hold her, so I'm going to continue holding her. I'm not gonna keep her from him, if that's what you fu-frickin think. Now please leave. And while you're gone, assign us a new nurse."

She stares in surprise for a moment before leaving without a word.

Jacob smirks, "Sassy TroTro."

Troye rolls his eyes.

"She wasn't flirting, Tro," Jacob chuckles.

"Yes, she was. And you were encouraging her.

"How do you know she was flirting?"

"Because she laughed at that unfunny joke you told about having a lot of siblings."

"Hey. You laughed at it too when we first met."

Troye looks at him, "How do you think I know she was flirting?"

Jacob rolls his eyes before mumbling, "I think it's funny."

Troye sighs, "Do you wanna hold her now?"

"If you don't want to anymore."

Troye doesn't respond right away as he lays his head gently on top of the little girl's, "I'm always gonna want to hold her. But I guess I'll let you."

Jacob chuckles, "How thoughtful of you."

"Let's wait until a nurse gets here though. I don't want anything to happen."

"Of course."

"Just...admire from a distance for now."

Jacob smiles, "No problem."

Leaning down, he kisses the blonds head carefully before squatting down next to the chair. He lets out a soft breath and places his hand on top of Troye's that is supporting their daughter's head.

"I might cry"

The couple looks up at the voice and they smile.

"Hi, mom," Troye whispers.

"Where's your nurse?"

Jacob smirks and looks at Troye who blushes.

"What'd you do?"

"She apparently was flirting with me and Troye snapped. She will no longer be our nurse."

Laurelle shuts her eyes and sighs but can't keep a smile off her face, "Well, Bailey better hope she gets some good friends in the future. Or she's gonna be seeing a whole lot of snappy Dad walking around."

"If she gets on my nerves as much as we got on yours," Troye says, "she'll be seeing a whole lot snappy Dad regardless."

"I'm gonna be the fun dad," Jacob states.

"You ever see those posts about why you shouldn't leave the children alone with dad?" Troye asks.

"Yeah."

"You're one of those dads."

Jacob laughs making Bailey jump.

"Oh, honey, I'm sorry," Jacob says quickly, unable to keep a laugh out of his voice.

"You have been scaring her since she was in my belly, when will you stop?" Troye jokes.

"I don't mean to," Jacob defends. "I'm sorry."

Troye shakes his head, "I don't wanna give her to you now, you'll scar her for life."

Jacob sighs and looks up at laurelle, "Control your son."

"Oh, honey, I've been trying to for the last 17 years. Look where that's got us," she says pointing to the baby in her son's arms.

Troye and Jacob grin and look at the little girl who lets out a yawn.
