Ch 21

Bethany's POV•••••••••••••••••

A nurse walked in and said "hello Bethany how are you feeling today"

"I'm f-f-fine"

That's weird I stuttered again, it's probably just because of the medication

"Today we are getting a cat scan and X-ray"

"Ok-k-kay"

She left the room but then about 20 minutes later her and another nurse came

They rolled me down to the X-ray room and x-rayed my chest then brought me to the cat scan room

I had to stay perfectly still so they could get an accurate scan of my brain

It only took about 10 minutes then they brought me back to my room

I didn't do anything for the rest of the day which sucked

A bit later like 11 ish a doctor came in

"Hello Bethany are you awake"

"Yes, come in"

He came to the edge of the bed, looking at some papers

"Bethany I have some news, do you want anyone to be here before I tell you?"

I started to get worried

"Um no, what is it"

"Bethany we found a tumor I'm your brain"

"What are you saying"

"You have a brain cancer"

What is he saying, I can't have cancer, I'm fine, I can't

"I know this can be hard, do you want me to call anyone?" He asked

"No not right now"

"Ok I'm sorry, get some rest" he said as he left the room

I cried myself to sleep that night, I also cried for the whole day

In the middle of the night, the one time I had stop crying, Troye came in

"Hey Bethers"

"Hey nugget"

I love our nicknames

"Are you ok?" He asked

"No, I'm not" I said while holding back tears

"Aw Beth, I'm sor.."

I interrupted him

"Can you lay with me"

He came and laid next to me

I began to tell him everything, and how I have brain cancer

He held me in his arms

I began to cry

I ended up falling asleep in Troyes arms so basically the best place in the whole world

The doctor came in and oh boy

"Excuse me young man" he said while trying to wake Troye up

Troye eventually woke up and left

The doctor began to tell me some more news

My stomach began to turn and my heart began to race and beat very loud

"Bethany in afraid the stage of cancer you have is very serious"

"So what does that mean"

"You only have 3 months to live"

"What I don't understand"

"Well you've had the cancer for some time now and you didn't get early treatment so I'm afraid the cancer has grown and spread to something extremely lethal"

I began to cry again, but this time I couldn't stop

The doctor left the room

I went to sleep crying again
