"Everyone, RUN!" Unikitty exclaimed as the possessed robots neared her and her friends. They all darted away as fast as they could and began making their way towards the exit.
"How did Frown do this to them?" Dr. Fox wondered. "I designed them perfectly!"
"It must be his new power." Richard stated. "He must have somehow been able to take control over them."
"This is bad..." Hawkodile mumbled. "What if he takes control over something else, like one of us?"
"I don't think that'll happen, because my robots are mechanical and we are not." The scientist reasoned. "I doubt he has enough power to take over a living being..."
"Guys, they're getting closer!" Puppycorn exclaimed, stopping their conversation. They all turned and say that the robots were indeed getting closer.
Hawk skidded to a halt, then hopped into a fighting stance. "You guys run, I'll buy you some time!"
The robots then surrounded him and ignored his friends, just as planned. He kicked a few of them that were closer to his legs. "Bodyguard kick!" He exclaimed, as he always said something like that whenever he did a karate move. He had knocked the robots clear across the room and completely destroyed most of them. He bent down low, doing a sweep kick to a few others and sent them flying as well. He stood up, a robot leaping and attacking him from above. He punched it, calling out "Bodyguard punch!" as he did so.
More and more robots began swarming him. Reinforcements soon came afterward and he encircled by enemies completely.
The robots climbed up his legs. He tried to shake them off, but failed to do so. They began ascending his arms as well, attacking him as they climbed.
He bent down on one knee, feeling exhausted from fighting and holding the weight of all of the robots on him. His friends kept running, but they soon stopped after noticing what was happening to the bodyguard.
"HAWKODILE!" They all shouted his name in fear.
Unikitty's fur started turning red. She growled as her horn and tail went up in flames.
Although he couldn't see much, Hawk soon noticed Unikitty's fur changing. "Princess, don't--"
Unikitty roared angrily, then charged at the robots. She freed Hawkodile from their grasp, lighting a few on fire as she did so.
She then shook her head, her fur immediately turning pink again. "You okay?"
"I am now. Thanks, princess." He replied. But, feeling even more weary then before, he fell back down to the ground and moaned.
"Hurry, go catch up to everyone else. They'll help you."
"No, I can't leave you." He replied.
"I'll be fine." She said again, then smiled at him warmly. "Go."
Dr. Fox approached the two, followed by Puppycorn and Richard. Dr. Fox helped Hawk stand up as Unikitty kept fighting the robots.
Her fur had turned red again, and using her powers, she destroyed most of the robots. A little later, her friends ordered her to come over to them. She flew as fast as she could over to them, the robots chasing her the whole way.
"We can't go upstairs, that's where Master Frown and Brock might be... hmm..." Dr. Fox then gasped. "I've got an idea!"
She walked over to the wall, feeling every brick of it. "Aha!" She exclaimed after a few seconds, pushing one of the bricks inward.
The brick caused the entire wall to rise up and created an opening big enough to fit everyone inside. "Hurry, get in here!" She exclaimed. Everyone ran in fast.
Once everyone had gotten inside, Dr. Fox pushed the button and slid inside before the door shut.
The corridor they had entered was pitch black. Dr. Fox turned on a small flashlight, lighting up the small area around the friends.
"What is this place?" Richard asked.
"Remember when Brock kidnapped Toast that one night when we were having the annual Cotton Candy Pool Party? Well, I built an entrance to the tunnels we discovered then and have been using them ever since. We should be safe in here until my robots clear."
Hawkodile leaned against the wall and winced in pain. He held the side of his stomach and groaned.
"Hawk, are you okay?" Unikitty asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine..." He responded weakly.
Dr. Fox bent down to his level. "Just show me where it hurts and I can help you."
He slowly removed his hand from where it hurt the most, revealing a large, bleeding cut on his side. She gasped upon seeing it.
"Is it bad?" He asked, shutting his eyes tight.
"Uhh, a little... but don't worry, you'll be fine."
She pulled out a medical kit from her backpack, setting it down by his feet. She opened it up, then began searching through some of the supplies. "Aha!" She soon found a large bandage, showing it to Hawkodile. "This might help."
She carefully placed the bandage on his injury. He grimaced as she did so. When she was done, she stood up and smiled at him. "Feel better?"
"A little... thanks..." He said, blushing.
Richard sighed. "Well, I guess we wait here until Frown calls off the robots. Then we should probably head back to base. This was a waste of our time..."
"Hey, Dr. Fox, where do these lead to?" Puppycorn asked, pointing to a stairway going down the corridor.
"Oh, those? They lead to a few other rooms, they're usually where I end up storing some other stuff since my closets are already pretty full and-- wait, that's it!" She jumped up. "I remember now! Some of the happiness supplies wouldn't fit in my closet, so I put them down in here! If we could get our hands on them, then maybe we can use them to help the citizens!"
"So, maybe this mission wasn't a complete fail after all!" Unikitty exclaimed.
"But what about Hawkodile?" Puppycorn asked.
Hawk held onto the side of the wall, which helped him stand up. "I think I can manage."
"Then what are we waiting for?" Dr. Fox said, smiling. "Let's go get those happiness supplies!"
