Chapter 18

Over the next week, I hung out with Piper, Percy, Calypso, Magnus, Alex, Jason, Thalia, Rachel, and Leo. We did something new everyday, and then spent the evening at the Jackson-McLean beach house. On Saturday, we went to the city carnival. Sunday was the day we went to Disney Land. All week we had no school because of a state holiday, so on Monday, we went to Los Angeles. On Tuesday, we chose to spend all day at the beach. Wednesday, we drove over to San Francisco, spent the night, came home Thursday afternoon and spent the rest of the day at the beach. On Friday, we hung around Hazel's house with the rest of the gang, introducing everyone to my cousin. On Saturday, we finally decided to go hang out at my dad's but that didn't last long. The next day was Sunday and I think my life fell apart.

Magnus, Alex and Aunt Natalie, had to go back to Boston, so Percy, Piper, Jason and I volunteered to drop them off at the airport. As crazy coincidence, Clarisse's dad was coming home that same day, so she was at the airport as well. We had no idea about this, and when Piper walked away for five minutes, Clarisse walked up to us.

"Guys!" She said, "What are you doing here?"

"Clarisse!" We exclaimed.

"I might ask you the same," Percy said.

The four of us exchanged stories, and then Clarisse made her move.

"Sooooooo?" She asked. "Have y'all told Piper 'bout Cha y'all?"

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Does Piper know that you're dating?"

"No, not yet, but she's here so don't bring it up to Piper," I whispered.

"Don't bring what to Piper?" Piper had returned.
