Chapter 37
THE ENTIRE planet is very close together! Lord Araullo was someone she never anticipated seeing again. Why didn't she consider him when she ran away? When this man actually made a vow to aid her if she ever asked for it before, she almost believed there was no one she could turn to for assistance outside the palace. It was still vivid in her mind that he would take her on if she would work for him. She clearly remember the conversation they had before.
"Do you know that this empire is not as peaceful as you think it is?"
"I am aware, my Lord."
"Do you want to work in my home?" Lord Araullo laughed, "Just kidding. But you know, I'm literally hoping in secret that you would reconsider working for me. I'll give you the same salary you receive here. I could add more."
Even though he was making a joke, his serious demeanor made it impossible for her to take him seriously. Brielle felt optimism after hearing him speak. The moment has come that he promised. Lord Araullo was located by Brielle, who was ecstatic to see him. The man seems to have been waiting for her arrival constantly, as if he had always been there.
"My Lord," Brielle faintly called. "Lord Araullo..."
Lord Araullo stared at her widely, "You're here..." he said as he walked towards her.
Brielle's tears began streaming down her face, "My Lord... Pardon me, but I need your help."
The noble just stared at her, and Brielle couldn't be more embarassed. She said, "I'll work so hard for you. Please let me work for you..."
After a long silence, Lord Araullo just smiled, "I've been waiting for this time to come, my Brie."
Then Brielle started serving Lord Araullo as his personal aide. She applied to be a general housekeeper, but the young guy decided to make her his personal assistant who would support him in all of his endeavors. She resides in his mansion while works full-time for him. Lord Araullo insisted on keeping her in his estate, and for some reason he never allowed her to go.
Her days on Lord Araullo's estate were more tranquil because he has always been kind to her. Her mother eventually gave up her part time job to care for her siblings after the young guy helped her father secure employment.
Without Lord Araullo, she would have long since passed away. He saved her life. The young man seemed perhaps overly affectionate, though. While everyone has been observing his positive behavior toward her, Brielle thinks he is typically that way.
She needs to act appropriately and let go of her illusions and presumptions because without his help, she wouldn't be able to survive. She shrugged off the rumors, she needs to keep his trust.
Days whizzed by quickly before becoming weeks, and weeks swiftly became months. She is still working as an assistant sculptor for the young lord while still studying how to do it in his home. Brielle finds herself thinking of the Emperor every time she observes him at work. She has found it really difficult, yet she never stopped thinking about Emperor Massimo.
One evening, Lord Araullo appeared to be in a bad mood when he arrived. He claimed to have had a business-only conversation with someone. He returned, nevertheless, agitated. Brielle was then brought back to mind Emperor Massimo. It seems familiar, as if this has previously happened, but with Emperor Massimo.
"Xara, take me to the wine room and prepare me a whiskey, please." Lord Araullo requested.
Brielle led him to the wine room exactly as he had desired. Her pulse pounded as she recalled an incident similar to this; she felt as though she and Emperor Massimo were the main protagonists. Why does she keep thinking about the Emperor?
