SINCE THAT night where she saw the Emperor's wrath, Brielle's situation has not been good. Although it seems insignificant to the Emperor, it is unquestionably a big concern to her. She experienced trauma when she witnessed his savagery and brutality. She is unable to even talk or properly address him. What the heck is going on right now? Why does it appear that their routes are intersecting more frequently? The Emperor pulls her back to march in step with him as she leans more to the side to avoid him.

It's another day, and she hopes she doesn't run into the Emperor again. He recently killed a bunny for no reason the day before! It may happen again, and she doesn't want to be there to see it. Brielle's hatred towards him is growing since his damaged brain has no treatment.

“Please, no emperor today...”

She was about to feed the rabbits when the matron called her.

"Xara!"

Brielle immediately walked over to comply, "Yes, Matron?"
 
The old lady smiled, "Xara, you're now assigned at the Emperor's hall."

Brielle's hairs stood up with that news, "I'm sorry, matron?"
 
The old lady caressed her shoulders and sweetly smiled, "There has been changes and you're now assigned at the palace hall. It's a great thing. You can be promoted as the emperor's personal servant."

Oh gosh! Now what the heck is happening? She's about to burst out crying in lament and not for joy! That won't be good. She's trying so hard to avoid the devil while fate easily pushes her path close to him. Please no. She can no longer stand in the same corner as him.
 
But that's an order, she could do nothing. So she sighed heavily with a throbbing chest. "I- I got it, matron. Thank you."

The matron smiled, "So, when are you going to move out?"

Brielle's eyes widened as her fear arose. "Am I required to move out?"

"Of course. The Emperor's servants have their own pavilion too. You need to stay near the palace because that's where you're going to work now."

"O-oh, Is that it?" she hid her trembling lips by smiling awkwardly. "C-can I just stay here?"

"What?"

Brielle shook her head, "Nothing. I just thought that maybe I could still stay here... even if I work on the Emperor's hall. "

"That's not possible!" the matron exclaimed, "Congratulations on your promotion, Xara."
 
Brielle just nodded and bow, "T-thank you..."

The matron began walking away, "You can move out tomorrow. For now, finish your tasks here."

With a heavy and fearful heart, she replied; "Got it, Matron."

What is causing this? She's doing everything she can to avoid him. Whose is this order? Did the Emperor make a request for her? Has he developed feelings for her? What kind of interest? Is he maybe... annoyed by her presence and he wants to torture her by playing with her mind? That won't be good, and it certainly won't be nice for a delicate girl like her.

Practically speaking, she should be on cloud nine since she's been promoted. This is promotion! How could someone not be happy? Her salary will increase for sure. But there's no way it'd be for free, there's no way this luck is free, her life is in line. This could be a jinx! She could feel it. The Emperor's small actions can lead into big trouble. The Emperor unconsciously does something unpleasant. What if he puts his bloody hands on her once?

Overthinking is what it is. But it is true that the devil will constantly bother you and destroy your day.
