[ Hogwarts 1943 ]
Evangeline Potter and Tom Riddle sat side by side against the tree that the faced the black, mysterious lake. Evangeline had just finished explaining the how the Muggle Coffee Maker worked. And Tom made sure to comment that Wizards didn't need a Coffee Maker for they had magic to do it for them. Tom, despite being known for this emotionless face, seemed to complain quite a lot. It was too cold, the ground was too hard, the tree was too rough.
" Merlin, Tom! Must you complain about everything on planet Earth!" Evangeline laughed once Tom finished grumbling about how the ground was wet and was ruining his pants. " Just enjoy nature" Evangeline smiled teasing knowing Tom Riddle was definitely not a nature buff.
" Evie, I will enjoy nature once it's done ruining my clothes" Tom commented, grabbing his robes and holding them tighter to his lanky body as wind passed by the duo. " And once it's done being so bloody cold. It's the middle of September for Salazar sake!" he mumbled, pulling his hat down more trying to cover any showing skin.
" You are quite the diva, Tom Riddle. But yes, my mother informed me that a cold front was coming to Scotland." Evangeline agreed, moving closer to Tom, wanting to steal some of the body heat the boy was radiating. " I heard it suppose to be in the twenties tomorrow" Stated the Hufflepuff ignoring the glance Tom gave her when she moved closer.
" Oh joy!" Tom muttered sarcastically, " just want I wanted"
" You, Mister Riddle, are a killjoy! What could be possible wrong with snow. It makes everything beautiful" Evan huffed, " I can already tell you hate Christmas, like the Grinch you are" she poked his shoulder as she declared her statement.
" It's cold" is all Tom said, as he began to stand, " as lovely as this was my ears are quite literally going to fall over if I don't go inside soon." Evangeline nearly laughed at how dramatic the almighty Tom Riddle is.
Evangeline rolled her eyes, wanting to stay out longer she was not tired at all, but nonetheless stood up. " Yes, if we must" She sighed, looking back towards Black Lake once more before following who was practically running towards the entrance of the lit up castle.
" Hurry up, Evangeline before I leave you to the Mountain Trolls" Tom called over to Evan who was still a good 100 ft away.
" yeah, yea-" Evangeline stopped mid-sentence and turned her gaze towards the sky.
Tom stared at Evan with a mild annoyance as the Blonde came to a complete stop. Tom debated leaving her there or not. She knew her way, she was perfectly fine on her own. Except Tom's feet seemed to be glued to the floor, as much as his brain was telling him to leave her there and to go in the comfort and warmth of the Slytherin common room, his feet remained where they were. " Evie! What are you doing!" Tom called out, now more quietly as he was now inside the castle and Perfects may still be on duty.
Evangeline looked towards Tom with a wide toothy smile on her face before shouting out, " Tom! Tom, it's snowing. It's snowing out!" Evangeline laughed so loudly Tom swear Dumbledore would be able to hear it from across the school. Tom watched as white flakes fell from the sky and landed on the ground and into Evangeline's hair. And Tom wouldn't admit it but she almost looked angelic with the snow in her golden hair, and her alexandrite stone colored eyes. Her plump lips were stretched in the biggest smile Tom had ever seen grace the beauty's face. Her nose and cheeks were the perfect shade of red from the cold, looking between a child and a angel. Tom swear he felt something twitch but ignored it as Evangeline came running towards him. " Do you see it. It's actually snowing!" She chuckled, staring at the snowfall with a awe-dazed look.
" Yes, I see it. But if you keep shouting we're going to get caught and get detention. So let's go" Tom pulled on her arm gently, his rough hand meeting her soft skin. He gulped at how smooth and soft her skin was and though if her whole body felt this soft. His gaze unconsciously moved downwards towards the curve of her hips and down further. Tom blushed at his thoughts before continuing to pull the dazed girl away from the door and down the quiet hallways. Tom had let go of her arm once she had started walking on her own.
"Hey! Who's there!"
