After the events in the Hallway, Evangeline made sure to keep her distance with Tom Riddle. He walked on one side of the Hallway while Evangeline walked on the other.  His hands were still clasped behind his back, while he hummed quietly like he hadn't just pushed him against a wall and threatened her. This wasn't new to Evangeline, he often had 'outbursts' then go back to normal in 2.5 seconds. It unnerved Evangeline to no end that he could go from 0 to 100 in seconds. Yet, it was no surprise.

Evangeline kept her gaze locked on the stone floor, watching her feet move back and forth as she walked. Evangeline's Brother always said she walked on her heels and caused the most noise whenever she walked, she never really believed it until she walked next to Tom Riddle. Compared to his steps she sounded like an elephant.

" You know, Evie, most people would thank a person who took the time out of their day to walk you to the Great Hall." Tom's smooth voice didn't register in her head until she walked straight into the Great Hall's closed doors. Evangeline stumbled backward from the impact. She didn't realize they arrived at the Hall, or how their walk here was so quick.

Tom stood back, watching Evangeline walk into the doors. He had realize she was lost in her thoughts and wasn't going to stop if he hadn't said something, and to amuse himself he waited until the last minute to warn her. " Where is my thank you, Evie" Tom voiced. He knew he was being an arse, especially after she walked into a door, but he couldn't find a reason to care.

Evangeline looked up at him, with a confused look. She had a giant red spot on her forehead, it was light but if you looked close enough you could see. Her hand was over her forehead, rubbing it back and forth trying to sooth the spot that was throbbing, " You could of warn me sooner" Evangeline grumbled, looking at the door then back down to her feet.

Tom only smirked in reply at Evangeline's grumbling, he barely heard it but he did, " What? What was that." he questioned, cupping a hand over his ear like he couldn't hear, " that didn't sound like a thank you. Let's not have a repeat of the hallway, Evie" he said, but his voice turned low and a warning tone at the end.

Evangeline nodded merely, " Thank you" she mumbled before opening the door and hurrying in, leaving a satisfied Tom Riddle behind. Tom strolled in shortly after, scanning the Hufflepuff table, where Evangeline sat with a boy he had seen her with quite often.

Alatar Garnier.

That was his name, and the only reason he knew it was because his twin sister was in Slytherin and she often talked about him. With a quick glance at the teachers up front, he saw Professor Dumbledore, his least favorite teacher, staring at him. Tom knew the look he was getting from his professor, it was one he got often. A knowing and disappointed look. Tom knew that the Professor knew that people knew Tom Riddle was not to be messed with or you will end up regretting it. ( did you guys get my friends reference, They don't know that we know they know, if you did, I'll love you forever)
