Once Again - MerDer

Part 6

POV: Derek went to the OBGYN. He opened the door and he was socked to see Meredith crying in the medical bed. He didn't know where to start from. Asked her why she was crying, where she had been, what have happened? He approached her.

-" Mer, what happened? Why are you crying?" Asked Derek really worried.

-" Im sorry, Derek, i'm sorry." Said Meredith

-" Its okay. Just tell me why are you crying." Said Derek.

-" Im sorry for even thinking of killing our baby." Said Meredith

-" Wait, you didn't had an abortion?" Said Derek surprised.

-" I was planning to. But then i realized, that i want this baby. On my way back, i started bleeding." Meredith took a deep breath. " I had an ultrasound and
Dr.Green said she will come back with answers, but shes gone for way too long and i don't know what she is going to tell us when she comes back.

-" Shhh, calm down, everything is going to be okay." Said Derek and wiped her tears.

Dr.Green entered the room but unfortunately she had that look that all three of them knew what it meant.

-" You must be the father." Dr.Green said and Derek nodded his head. " Due to hormonal irregularities i'm really sad to inform you, that you had a miscarriage. Take all the time you need. Again, i'm really sorry Dr.Grey."

Derek hugged her to comfort her. He then helped her put her clothes on and they left the hospital. When they arrived home, Meredith immediately run upstairs to her bed, and started crying. Derek followed her to calm her down. He sat next to her and he hugged her. Meredith lay her head to his chest and felt relieved. They stayed there for hours. Meredith started falling asleep and Derek made sure she is covered by a blanket. The moment he stood up to leave, Meredith woke up.

-" Where are you going?" Asked Meredith

-" Im leaving, i have a surgery early in the morning." Said Derek. " You sleep, i will come after the surgery. To see you.

-" Wait Derek. Don't leave yet. I need someone. Said Meredith

-" Do you want me to call Cristina or Izzie?" Asked Derek

-" No. I need you." Said Meredith. " Please stay."

-" Okay okay, i will be on the couch."Said Derek

-" No. I meant here, with me. Please Derek. I just want to fall asleep in your arms. I feel so safe." Said Meredith

-" Okay. I'll stay. But tomorrow i have to leave early." Said Derek and lay on the bed.

-" Its okay." Said Meredith and hugged him to sleep.

The hole night Meredith was in Derek's arms. Early in the morning he left to go to the hospital. On his way in he saw Cristina and Izzie leaving.

-" Meredith is back and she also had a miscarriage. She in the home now. Can you please go see if she'll be fine. I have a surgery now." Said Derek

-" What? Yes, we are going now."Said Cristina and Izzie and left.

When they arrived, they went to Meredith's bedroom to see how is she.

-" Mer. Derek told us. How are you?" Said Izzie.

-" i don't know. I left to think for a while and i decided to keep the baby, but on my way back i had a miscarriage. I really wanted this baby." Said Meredith and started crying.

-" Its okay Mer. Maybe its better that way." Said Cristina

-" Do you want a cake? Maybe some muffins? Coffee?" Asked Izzie.

-"Don't be stupid. She wants tequila, don't you?" Said Cristina

-" All i want is lay here all day. And Derek. I wan't Derek."Said Mer

-" Weren't you too fighting? What happened. Are you back together? "
Asked Izzie.

-" No,i'm still mad at him, but now i lost our baby. The only thing i want now is things to begood between us. He wanted that baby too, and he is sad although he doesn't show it to me, but i know him very well, deep inside him, he is sad." Said Meredith." Can you please leave me alone? I want to sleep. Im not ready to go to the hospital yet."

-" Yeah okay. Lets go." Said Cristina. " We will be downstairs if you need anything."

Meanwhile in the hospital Derek finished his surgery but he was all day in the pits giving consults. When he found time he texted Meredith. " I AM VERY BUSY. I WILL COME HOME WHEN I FINISH." and he went back to work. Meredith smiled when she saw the message, although she was mad at him. She texted back " OKAY, SEE YOU!" and went back to sleep.

Derek on his way to his car, he saw Mark.

-" Hey man, i heard about the miscarriage. Im sorry. Is Grey ok?" Asked Mark

-" No, shes a mess. I stayed with her last night but she doesn't seem like she is planning to get of the bed. Im going to see her now." Answered Derek

-" So are you guys back together?" Said Mark

-" No. But we are better now. We are not fighting. I hope she will want to talk about us. I'll wait till she is ready." Said Derek

-" Thats good. And hey, don't let it take you down. I know you are sad about the miscarriage too, but be there for her. She may think its her fault that you lost the baby. Don't let her think that way." Said Mark

-" Yeah i know." Said Derek and left.

When Derek arrived home George, Cristina and Izzie where there.

-" Hey guys. How is she?" Asked Derek

-" She doesn't want to talk to us. We tried but she locked the door. She said she will only unlock when you come." Said George

-" Thats bad, right? Maybe i should go." Said Derek and run upstairs.

Derek knocked the door and Meredith woke up.

-" If you are not Derek, leave!" Said Meredith and got under the bedsheets.

-" Mer, its me." Said Derek

Meredith's heart beat faster by the sound of his voice. She got off the bed and opened the door. Mer immediately fell into his arms.

-" Its okay, i'm here." Said Derek and held her tight.

After a couple of minutes they went into the room. They closed the door. Less light was now entering the room. Meredith and Derek sat on the bed.

-" We should talk." Said Derek

-" Yeah. We should."

-" Look, i didn't want to hurt you. Never wanted. I was going to tell you about Addison, but when this thing was completely over. She is not in my life anymore. You are, and i don't want to lose you again."Said Derek

-" I know Derek, but you should have told. You should have cleared this up from the beginning."

-" We both made mistakes but i don't want us to fight anymore. I want things to be  the way they were at first." Said Derek

-" I want this too, and....."Meredith didn't get to finish her sentence.

-" And?" Said Derek and looked at the floor.

Meredith looked at him, as much as the light allowed her, and got closer.

-"And i think we can make it, Derek. We have to. Don't you see. Don't you get it. We are addicted to this, even if we are not together, we will always have feelings. And that would be the worst thing. Seeing each other everyday but not being together, would kill us."

Derek approached her and caressed her face. He took a deep breathe and he said "Mer"  in a husky voice. Then they came even closer.
