Feeling completely drained, I fall back on the chair. Looking up at the ceiling trying to make since of everything that has happened today so far. I need to talk to my mother and Victoria. Who are probably worried sick about me. I start eating the salad, fruit and drinking the water. Now what? His gone right as I got here. This is too much and so crazy, running my hands over my face.
Walking around thinking of everything, replaying it in my head over and over again. He's over 1500 years old? The alpha, witches and vampires are real. It's one thing to read about them then to actually be a part of them. I hear knocking at the door, stopping me in my tracks. I hear the clicking of the knob turning and the door slowly opens.  "Mila?" I hear Olga speak. "Can I come in?" She whispers.
"Yes" my voice sounding loud. Peaking at me she smiles big. She has a long length dress, bright blue. I'm upset at her but she can be the only one that could help me escape from here, from him. I reciprocate, "Hi, Olga." "May I seat down?" She ask me raising her eye brows, playing with her hands infront of her. "Of course" I tell her with a smile. We stay quiet for a few mintues just starting ar each other. "I just wanted to say I'm sorry about all of this. Not telling you, not warning you. " reaching for my hands, she sounds sincere. I can't be upset at her. Knowing that if I'm his mate, she couldn't have helped me. As per pack rules, that i still need to ask to confirm, no one will go against their alpha.
"I understand a little and nothing. How old are you Olga? Like your real age."
"For all intents and propuses, I'm 25 plus 50 years. I know how it is I was in your shoes once a upon a time. I was traveling in England on vacation with my girlfriends. When Viktor found me." She smiles fondly of the memory which makes me smiles. "It wasn't love at 1st sight I must admit but he courted me until I was in love with him. He came home with me and after a year we got married." She smiles big looking down at her ring. "Dimitri should have followed Viktors manners" I tell her coldly. She looks at me with a small smile. "Yes, he should have" agreeing with me. "What did you tell your family? How did you react to Viktor being a werewolve? " I ask her with my voice getting high pitched, wanting answers.
" we passed away on our honeymoon " she says softly looking down, a single tear going down her face wiping it before it reached her chin. "I'm so sorry" I tell her sadly, reaching for her hand, squeezingit lightly. "It's ok, it was a long time ago. It hurts, but unfortunately." Looking a little sadder. "My whole family passed away from carbon monoxide poisoning on a family camping trip." Tears start coming from my eyes down my face. "I'm so sorry Olga, I can't even imagine what that must feel like." "I kept taps on them even though I couldn't go back, I still wanted to know they were doing ok. I was their oldest child, and if it wasn't for Viktor coming in my life I would have probably passed away as well." She smiles a sad simile. Squeezing her hand in reassures. "When he told me, it was too late. I was head over heels in love with him and we were already married. He told me after our wedding night. It was crazy of course at the beginning but everything worked its way out." Nodding at her in understanding.
"I wish Dimitri would have taken that approach," looking down at my hands. "I'm sorry, Mila really, I don't think his actions for great but being the oldest in our pack and the king, it was inevitable. From all of us, he's been without a mate the longest. Going on in this world without your other half is very lonely especially for over 1500 years. Give him a chance?" She nons with a yes and a simile. I shrug my shoulders, "we will see" I smile at her looking away.   "What happened to your wrists?" With a look of concerned and she frowns. I look down at them and they're still red from earlier. I didn't even notice until now, they are tinder and sore. Getting up quickly without looking at her and looking out the window. One single tear falls but I wipe it away quickly before she can see it. Not now Mila, don't show emotions yet. Turning around looking at her. "Can we go outside please?" I ask her pleading her with my eyes.
"Dimitri said you could do as you wish, but you'll have body guards at all times." Shrugging her shoulders. Noticing my discomfort she stands up coming to me. Hugging me softly. "Its alot to take in, but I promise you'll get use to it."
Wanting nothing more but to scream at all of this, I hug her back. I need to learn as much as i can before exploding and getting away. It's not her fault so I'll hold back until I'm away from here. She brings me some clothes to choose from. I don't pay much attention at what i pick, I'm on auto pilot. Focusing on my surroundings from the minute we leave the room, meeting a few people that are the help.
Everything is beautiful here, it's definitely a castle, we keep twisting and turning. Beautiful paintings and  furniture equally as gorgeous everywhere. "Who is this Olga?" I stop at a painting that catches my attention. It looks like Dimitri but i can tell its not, it's an older version of him. He has black hair and black eyes.  Very manly features. "That's Dimitris father, the king before him." It's a well preserve painting. "How old?" i ask looking at her. She's looking at the painting, "I'm not exactly sure but definitely at least 1500 years. I'm sorry, I don't live here. Only Dimitri and some of the help. He's had people over for meetings and gatherings but I've never really paid attention." Looking back at me, I smile at her. So no one is here? Only myself and a few people. That'll makes things easier. We keep walking,  entering the dining room. It's absolutely gorgeous. Huge long table to fit many people. Paintings on all sides, grand crystal chandler hanging in the middle. At the head of the table it's anther painting that catches my attention. It's a beautiful woman, beautiful blue eyes like Dimitri. She has long blonde hair, high cheek bones with very feminine features. She's smiling with a little boy on her lap. It's Dimitri, with his black hair and blue eyes a mixture of his father and mother.
We both turn at the opening of the door on the opposite side.  "Oh I'm sorry, her royal highness." An older women with a apron wiping her hands and bowing down.   "I'm not the queen, so no need to apologize." She looks at Olga  and back to me not sure what to say. Rocking on her heels back and forth, she smiles. "Well in that case, I need help in here, both of you come in." Going back in through the door she came out of, we follow. She has stuff all over the place, seems like she's reorganizing in here.
It's a big kitchen, modern appliances but still old in a good way. I walk to the ovens, instantly in love with them. They're big and beautiful, these are the best of the best. My moms bakery doesn't even have anything remotely close to these. "You like these?" Realizing that I'm touching them in smiling. I turn to the woman. "Yes, ma'am, my mother owns a bakery and what we have dosen't compare to these." "So you like to bake?" Smiling at me like my mother would. I instantly like this woman. " I grew up in the bakery, if I wasn't at school I was with my mother. " I tell her with a big smile on my face. "What's your name?" I ask her. "Maria, but my friends call me Mari." Grabbing both my cheeks. I laugh. "You're simply adorable, I can't wait to see babies running around here very soon. " she says. My face completely going into a frozen smile, looking at my face seeing that, what she just said, was not what I wanted to hear.
Olga grabbing my shoulders, pulling me away. "Now Mari, how about we leave you be, Mila wants to go outside. We will be back for dinner ok. " " Sorry Mila for my outburst, I shouldn't have said anything. It's not my business." Sighing with a hint of worry. Even though I was taken aback with her statment, I can't be mad at her for what she doesn't know or understand. "It's ok really, no need to  worry.  " I nod my head at her.
Pulling my hand we leave through a door in the kitchen, leading outside. This is a direct path. Im jumping inside, I see multiple cars here, they must have GPS so I can easily put Victoria's address in to leave here. I just need to sees who's guarding me. " I haven't seen anyone around us, where are they? Trying to sound casual as much as possible. " They're here but not here, they are not supposed to be seen or heard but they're around until Dimitri is back." "Oh" is all i managed to say. This might complicate things. I need to leave as soon as he is here. I need to hide my scent. So they won't follow me. Mari's apron could help maybe.
We keep walking around, everything is covered in snow  It's quite beautiful and calm. The landscape is gorgeous even with the snow covering it all. I can only imagine what it'll look like washed the snow it's gone, I could be here forever. Shaking my head no, nope I take that back. Time moves fast out here, looking at everything and all the landscape art and before we know it's dinner time.
