Leah was in a great mood after her ride to school with Richie. So much, she was basically skipping to class when she would regularly slowly walk. As she walked into second period, she made eye contact with the one and only Henry Bowers. She quickly averted her eyes to the floor and rushed over to her desk. Her mood changed instantly, anyone could tell by just her body language. Her and Henry had "history" if that's what you would even call it.

They got super close when she first moved to Derry. She was in 6th and he was in 7th, but that didn't matter at the time. They were so close they even went on vacation together. But, of course he had to dump her and leave her hanging like all of her friends did. So now whenever she sees him, she walks the other way. As if it was planned, he just had to be in her science class.

"Alriiiighty class! So today we will talk about..." the teacher droned on and on as Leah basically blanked out for the rest of class, only doing something if necessary. Before she knew it, the shrill sound of the school bell rang in her ears. Leah packed her stuff up and was out of the class so fast, you wouldn't of even known she was in there. Unless you're Henry Bowers. Somehow he caught up to her and pulled her backpack back to stop her from continuing to her next class.

"Hey Bell. Long time no see." Henry said lowly with a smirk.

"Hi.." Leah said meekly, trying to get out of his grasp.

"Just wanted to let you know that I saw you and Tozier biking to school together. Wouldn't your mom loooove to hear about that?" He said with a devilish look in his eyes. Leah stood there, her mouth agape and eyes widened.

"You wouldn't." She responded.

"Oh but I would." Leah was frozen and didn't know what to say. She was upset and mad. With everything built up inside her from her mom and Henry, she said the only thing that came to mind.

"I bet your dad would LOOOOVE to hear about what you do to other students here. AKA beating up, bully-" She was cut off by Henry grabbing her wrist as if his life depended on it.

"Shut it, Bell. If you tell my dad, you're done for." He sneered right in her face.

"Oh, I wasn't planning on it, unless you tell my mom." She said smirking. He rolled his eyes in defeat and hung his head slightly.

"Fine. I won't." She smiled, knowing she won. She yanked her wrist out of his grasp and almost fell back because he was her only support in the moment. Then Leah lost every ounce of confidence she had in her body and scrambled off to language arts.

*~ Time skip ~*

Leah practically ran to lunch, she absolutely hated Social Studies. As she got closer to the cafeteria she heard someone yell her name from behind her. Hoping it wasn't Henry she turned around.

"HEY LEAH! WAIT UP!" She saw Richie trying to catch up to her and shoving his way through other students and she laughed at the sight.

"Hey." She said once he was caught up to her.

"Hey! Would you want to sit with me and my friends during lunch?" He asked trying to sound confident, when he most definitely was not.

"Oh.. are you sure? I mean I don't want to be much of a burden. Did you even ask-" she was cut off by Richie saying

"No I didn't ask, but you won't be a burden, I promise. They'll love you." With some hesitation she sighed and agreed. He grabbed her wrist and led her to the table. Once they arrived, all of his friends looked up at her.

"Hi..." she said shyly with a small smile.

"Guys, this is Leah, Leah this is the Losers Club." He said proudly. Leah sat between Richie and a curly haired kid. They went around in a circle introducing themselves.

"I'm Stanley Uris, but you can call me Stan." the curly haired one said with a smile. Him and Leah shook hands.

"Hi, I'm Eddie Kaspbrak." the short one smiled slightly but kept his hands to himself.

Richie leaned down to Leah and whispered "kids a germaphobe." Leah nodded.

"H-hi! I'm B-B-Bill Den-denbrough." He shook Leah's hand. She smiled at all of them. How nice to have a friend group like this, she thought. "I'm Leah, even though you already know that because of Richie." They all laugh. Once they're all done eating, they go outside and sit under a few trees. Leah was the happiest she's been in a long time, genuinely happy. The group talked and hung out like they've been friends for the longest time. Richie, Eddie, Stan, and Bill might've, but Leah just met them today. She could only hope that it would stay this way.

Boy, was she wrong.
