All of the kids stood there for a second in silence.

"Ok well..do you guys wanna go sit down? My legs are getting kinda tired." Richie broke the silence. Everyone looked at him. "What..? Just saying.."

"I guess..let's go." Leah said and led the group to a green bench under the Paul Bunyan statue that the town took pride in. Leah never really knew why, he looked like just a big lumberjack.

"Ok so let me get this straight. It comes out from wherever to eat kids for like, a year? Then what? It just goes into hibernation?" Eddie speeds out.

"Maybe it's like..what do you call it? Cicadas. You know, the bugs that come out once every 17 years?" Stan says, trying to make the topic relatable.

"My grandfather thinks this town is cursed." Everyone looks at Mike. "He says that all the bad things that happen in this town are because of one thing. An evil thing that feeds off the people of Derry."

"But it can't be one thing. We all saw something different." Leah counters.

"Maybe. Or maybe It knows what scares us most, and that's what we see." Mike says back to the blonde. Leah shivers thinking about the wasps. She knew it was a stupid fear, but she couldn't help it. Every summer she would be like 'oh i'm not gonna be scared of them! They're just stupid little bugs that can't do anything to me!' but right as she saw one, she would sprint the other way.

"I-I-I saw a leper. He wa-he was like a walking infection." Eddie stutters. So that's what it was. Leah got shivers again, remembering the incident that happened on Neibolt street. Leah was then snapped out of her thoughts by Stan

"But you didn't. Because it isn't real. None of this is." Leah cocked her head to the side, out of confusion. "Not Eddie's leper. o-or Bill seeing Georgie, o-or the woman I ke-I keep seeing." Stan sounded scared out his mind so Leah put a hand on his shoulder and squeezed it, trying to give him some kind of comfort.

"She hot?" Richie asked, making a trashmouth quote yet again. Leah glared at him and so did Stan.

"No Richie! She's not hot! Her face is all..messed up. None of this makes any sense. They're all like bad dreams."

"I don't think so. I-I know the difference between a-a bad dream and real life ok?" Mike looks up at Stan.

"What'd you see?" Leah asks the boy.

"You saw something too?" Eddie adds.

"Yes." Mike answers. "Do you guys know that burned-down house on Harris Avenue? I was inside when it burned down. Before I was rescued, my mom and dad were trapped in the next room over from me. They were pushing and pounding on the door, trying to get to me...but it was too hot. When the firemen finally found them....the skin on their hands had melted down to the bone." Leah felt terrible for the boy, thinking of how awful and traumatizing that could be. "We're all afraid of something." He finishes.

A cracker goes off behind Richie and he looks at the clown onstage.

"Got that right."

"Why Rich? What are you afraid of?" Eddie nods toward him, and Richie adjusts his glasses.

"Clowns.."

*~ another time skip (sorry for all of the time skips :/) ~*

The Losers were now biking over to Bills' house silently. Once they arrived, Bill led the group into his garage and they all got settled. He then ran in and out of his house quickly and got a few blankets to cover up the light seeping through the windows, a map from his dad's office, and a projector. Bill was currently putting up the map and Stan and Leah were putting up blankets on the windows. Once they were finished, Mike closed the garage and everyone sat down. Bill then put in a slide that Ben brought and it was reflected onto the map.

"Ok. Look." Bill said pointing at the map. "T-that's where G-Georgie disappeared." He pointed to the storm drain label. "There's the ironworks, and the Black Spot. Everywhere it happens, it's all connected by the sewers. And they all meet up at-"

"The well house!" Ben cut Bill off. Richie and Leah were sat next to each other and looked at each other.

"It's the house on Neibolt street." Stan added.

"You mean that creepy ass house where all the junkies and hobos like to sleep?" Richie asked, causing Eddie to take a puff of his inhaler.

"I hate that place. I always feel like it's watching me." Bev whispers.

"That's where we saw the clown." Leah murmured, since Eddie could hardly speak.

"Th-th-that's where It lives." Bill breathes, just above a whisper, causing Eddie to take another puff.

"I can't imagine anything ever wanting to live there." Eddie then jumps up and walks towards the map.

"Can we stop talking about this? I-I can barley breath, this is-this is summer, we're kids, I can barely breath, I'm up here having a fucking asthma attack. I'm not doing this!" Eddie rambles. He then rips the map down suddenly, which makes Leah flinch.

"What the hell? Put the map back." Bill says to the gasping boy.

"Mm-mm." The projector starts clicking, when no one is touching it. It starts showing pictures of Bill's family and Leah looks over at him

"Bill? Stop."

"I-I'm not doing anything.." He responds.

"What's going on?" Stan whimpers.

"I got it, hold on." Mike reassures. He tries to fix it, but Leah gets everyone's attention and points at the projections.

"Guys."

"Georgie.." Bill says as the projector clicks on a picture of Bill's family. They looked like a very happy family. Bill's dad has his arm wrapped around Bill, Georgie was holding hands with Bill and their mom, and then Leah looked to their mother. Her red hair was over her face and her mouth was open. The projector then started to zoom in on Georgie's face.

"Bill?"

The projector then starts clicking rapidly and it starts to go over to Bill's mothers face. The hair starts covering her face more, then her face starts to change. As the hair is slowly pulled back, the kids start screaming. It's that damn clown again.
