Leah and Stan helped Ben up and put him on the back of Bill's bike. They all got on their bikes and rode through the woods on the way to Mr. Keene's stores so they can fix Ben up. Eddie ranted on about something about an AIDS epidemic but Leah wasn't paying much attention, she was lost in her own thoughts and she was enjoying looking at the scenery. Once they pulled up to the alley, Leah snapped back into reality.

"Richie, Leah stay here with Ben." Stan says, and before Leah has time to protest, the others run away to get into the store.

"Glad I got to meet you before you died." Richie simply says to Ben.

"Richie! He isn't dying." Leah scolds him. Ben innocently looks up at her from where he's sitting.

"Sorry about him. I'm Leah Bell." She says while shaking hands with Ben.

"Ben Hanscom. You're in my language arts class, right?"

"Yeah, I am." Leah says with a polite smile. "He's Richie Tozier."

"The trashmouth himself." Richie adds on with a proud smile. Leah laughs and sits next to Ben.

"I don't think that's something that you should be proud about, Rich." Richie blushed at the nickname. Before he could say anything else, the rest of the losers come down the alley with supplies and Leah stands back up.

"Just suck the wound." Richie matter-of-factly states to Eddie.

"I need to focus right now." Eddie says as he glares up at Richie.

"You need to focus?" Leah asks.

"Yeah, can one of you go get me something?" Eddie asks the pair.

"Jesus! What do you need?"

"Rich, chill out. What can I get for you?" Leah says sweetly.

"Can you get my bifocals? I hid 'em in my second fanny pack." Eddie nods his head to the direction of his other fanny pack.

"Why do you have two fanny packs?" Stanley and Leah ask Eddie at the same time. Eddie huffs.

"I need to focus right now, and its a long story. I don't want to get into it." Leah notices Bill walk off down to the end of the alley. She sees him looking at something, but she turns a blind eye to it.  She looks back at the rest of the group.

"Oh, god. He's bleeding. Oh my god!" Stanley raises his voice at the group.

"You have to suck the wound before you apply the band-aids. This is 101! You don't know what you're talking about." Ben pulls his shirt down out of embarrassment and that's when Leah saw her. Beverly Marsh.  Her and Leah also had history, ironically everything that happened with Henry was around the same time that everything happened with Bev.

They became friends the first day of school, Henry shortly there after. They were best friends until the rumors started popping up about Beverly. Leah's mother didn't want her to hang out with Beverly anymore because of that, so she was forced to cut her off. They haven't spoken since and Beverly has held a grudge against Leah ever since.

The two girls make eye contact for a split second and they both immediately avert their eyes somewhere else. Richie notices this so he takes a mental note to ask Leah later.

"Are you ok? That looks like it hurts." Bev says as she looks at Ben and her eyes widen. All of the losers besides Leah look at her.

"Oh. No, I'm all good. I just..fell." Ben stammers out with a smile.

"Yeah. Right into Henry Bowers." Richie adds and Leah elbows him hard in the side. "Ow!"

"Sh-shut it R-richie." Bill stutters.

"Why? It's the truth." Richie says back, earning a glare from Leah and Stan that says 'shut up.' Beverly walks closer to Ben and Leah wants to take steps back and head home, but she knows she can't do that or else everyone will turn suspicious.

"You sure they got the right stuff to fix you up?" Beverly says with a wink. Leah immediately knew that it was a New Kids on the Block reference, she would sometimes listen to them. Ben smiled and Leah wondered if he listened, too.

"You know, w-w-w-we'll take care of him. Uh, thanks again, Beverly." Bill turns to Beverly.

"Sure. Maybe I'll see you around." She says back to them.

"Yeah, we were th-thinking about going to the q-q-q-q-q-quarry tomorrow. If you wanna c-come." Leah internally felt hurt because she never got an invite. She hoped that someone would invite her sooner or later.

"Good to know, thanks." Beverly starts walking away and waves back at Bill. Leah feels her whole body de-tense and she can relax. Eddie stands back up since he finished with Ben. Stan turns to Richie.

"Nice going bringing up Bowers in front of her." Stan says with a major attitude.

"Yeah, dude, you heard what she did." Eddie says to add on to Stan. Ben looks up at all of them, confused. He's clearly never heard of the rumors.

"What'd she do?" He asks, kind of scared but more confused.

"More like who'd she do. From what I heard, the lost is longer than my wang." Richie jokes. Leah gets whole body shivers thinking back to the day she had to cut Beverly off.

"That's not saying much." Stan said with the same attitude from earlier. Leah shakes her head out of her thoughts and snickers at Stan's comment.

"They're j-j-just rumors." Bill says to the group. Leah knew that they were just rumors but she decided to keep her mouth shut.

"Anyway, Bill had her back in third grade." Leah was right, they've been friends for a long time. "They kissed in the school play. The reviews said you can't fake that sort of of passion!" Richie tells the injured Ben. "NOW. Pip pip and tally ho my good fellows! I do believe this chap requires our upmost attention. Get in there Dr. K." Richie says in a terrible British accent while pushing Eddie back down to fully finish with Ben. "Come on, fix him up."

"Why don't you shut the fuck up Einstein, because I know what I'm doing and I don't want you doing the British guy with me right now-" Richie cuts Eddie off while using his awful accent again.

"Suck the wound, get in there!"
