All of the losers got dressed, on the their bikes, and were on their way to Ben's house. Leah was pretty sure Bev was part of the group now and she didn't know how to take it.
*~ Time skip ~*
Once they arrived at Ben's, Leah eyes immediately traveled to a missing kids poster that was being put up. Once the woman finished stapling it, Leah went to go see it. She ran over and saw Patrick Hockstetter MISSING. Leah stared at the poster.
"Leah?" She heard Richie calling her name. She snapped out of her frozen state and went to join the rest of the group. "You ok?"
"Yeah..I'm good." She replied warily. They all walked into Ben's room and he was waiting for them to enter. Richie and Eddie were talking about god knows what. Something about bones and rollercoasters? Leah didn't care enough to invest in the conversation. All the losers saw everything on the wall and everyone was silenced out of amazement, worry, etc.
"Woah."
"Cool, right?" Ben asked with a smile
"No..no..nothing, cool." Richie replied to him. His smile faltered, but he decided to ignore it. "oh this is cool! Oh..wait..no, it's not cool." Richie pointed at a news article. Leah laughs lightly and elbows him. Stan then points to a bunch of signatures and catches everyone's attention.
"What's that?"
"Oh, that? That's the charter for Derry Township." Richie laughs
"Nerd alert." He fixes his glasses for extra effect.
"No, actually, it's really interesting. Derry started as a beaver trapping camp." Ben states while looking at Richie.
"Still is, am I right boys?" Richie turns to Eddie and Stan while raising a hand for a high five, but they ignore him and Leah shoves his hand down.
"91 people signed the charter that made Derry. But, later that winter, they all disappeared without a trace. Leah gaped.
"The entire camp..?" Eddie questions for Leah. Ben nods and keeps talking about it.
"There are rumors of Indians, but no sign of an attack." As Ben finished his sentence, Leah looked at one of the pictures and saw It. She saw the clown that she encountered along with the fake Richie. Her breath quickened and she took a step back. No one noticed her behavior, though.
"Everyone thought it was a Plague or something. But, its like one day, everyone just woke up and..left. The only clue was a trail of bloody clothes leading to the Well House."
"Jesus. We could get Derry on unsolved mysteries!" Richie murmured. Leah was calming down when she heard the door creaking. She jumped around, thinking it was the clown, but it was Bev just looking at something on the back of the door. Beyond further inspection, Leah saw that it was a New Kids on the Block poster. So he DOES like NKOTB! Leah thought to herself and turned to Ben. He looked at Bev with wide eyes and shook his head, pleading her to open it before anyone saw. Bev smirked and opened it, while Leah spun back around before Ben saw her looking at the poster. Leah then heard Richie whisper to Stan.
"I don't know..maybe he's trying to make friends or something Stanley." That's all she heard from the conversation, but she assumed he was talking about Ben.
"W-w-where was the Well House?" Bill finally spoke up. Ben shrugged and all of the Losers looked over to Ben.
"I don't know. Somewhere in town I guess, why?"
"Nothing.." Bill responded back quietly. Leah and Stan looked at each other and knew it was something else. It couldn't just be 'nothing'.
All of the Losers went their separate ways, and Leah was going to walk with Richie, but decided to walk with Eddie instead to change it up a bit. She also wanted to get to know Eddie more because she was the most close with Stan and Richie. Basically all she knew about him is that he's a hypochondriac and him and Richie are super close. Leah and Eddie rounded the corner onto Neibolt street.
"Is it just me or does this street give you the creeps too?" Leah breaks the silence between the two.
"Yeah, especially the like black house on the end of the street."
"Mhm." Leah agreed. A silence surrounded the two so Eddie cupped his hands together and started playing a song which Leah was guessing was the National Anthem. They both neared the house and looked at it. That's when Eddie's watch beeped.
"What does that mean?" Leah questioned.
"Time for me to take my medicine.." Eddie said quietly, he was embarrassed.
"Oh...ok." Leah stopped and let him get everything out, but they both stared out the house. Eddie's trance was broken when he looked down to get his pills out but Leah kept looking. Eddie was about to put a pill in his mouth when they both heard some voice from inside calling out to them.
"Eddieee...Leahhh..." Both of the kids were stuck staring.
"What are you looking forrrr..?" The voice asked. Eddie started to keep walking and then he dropped his pills.
