Leah started crying again, but it was happy tears. She was glad he was ok.

"Oh my god, I'm so glad you're ok." She choked out into his chest. He was taller than her by a few inches. He started rubbing her back to calm her down, that's what worked last time.

"Huh?" Richie was confused as to why she would say that, he's been home since Leah saw him go onto his porch.

"It was awful, Rich. I-I had a vision, if that's what you would call-" She was cut off by more tears, she could hardly speak about it at the moment.

"It's ok. You don't have to tell me right now, baby." Richie cooed. They both ignored the fact that he just called her baby. He held Leah for another 10-ish minutes until she completely calmed down. Since his parents weren't home, the just sat on the living room couch so Leah could talk to him. She told him the whole story and he looked at her absolutely dumbfounded.

"I should probably go home now. My mom might be awake now." Leah says.

"Oh..ok. Sorry that happened..."

"It wasn't your fault." Leah starts to walk out of the door when Richie grabs her upper arm.

"Wait. Would you want to come to the quarry tomorrow with us? I know Beverly will probably be there.. bu-" Leah cuts him off.

"I'll be there. Don't worry about me and Bev." She says with a weak smile.

"See you there."

"Bye, Rich." Leah leaves his house and walks home, relieved that he's ok. Leah unlocks the door of her own house quietly, in case her mother is still asleep. She is and Leah sighs a breath of relief. She sulks up to her room and shuts her door. She goes over to her bed and pulls out her astrology book from under her bed.

She has been into astrology and zodiac signs since about half way through seventh grade. Her birthday is coming up since it's July 2nd and she figured out that she's a Cancer. She's never told anyone when her birthday is because she hates it. Her mother never did anything, her father left her on her second birthday, she's always been neglected on it, and it was overall one of the worst days of the year for her. If any of the Losers knew, she would be surprised. The only person in school that would know would be Henry. There's no way he would remember though.

Leah looked under her bed again for a little brown box that held something very valuable to her. It was the only gift she's ever been given. It was a small silver chain with a small piece of Rose Quartz on the chain. Of course this was given to her by Henry. He had read somewhere that Rose Quartz is a healing crystal that can restore trust and help comfort and calm people during times of grief.

Henry knew every single thing about Leah's mothers behavior, and Leah knew about his dad. That's why the other day they threatened each other to tell their parents, about Henry's actions, and Leah and Richie biking to school together. He knew that Leah would usually get very upset because of her mother, so he decided to give her just a little something, and that necklace happened to be it. She would wear it everyday, until they stopped being friends. After wearing it forever, she finally put that sacred necklace back into its rightful box, never to be seen again.

Leah would occasionally take it out when she really needed it, while pushing the memories it had attached to it to the back of her mind. Right now, she wanted to hold onto it. She put it around her neck for the first time since the summer going into 7th grade. It immediately gave her some sort of comfort, even though it was from the biggest bully in the school. She slowly laid down in her bed, pulling a blanket over her. She started reading her zodiac book, for probably the fourth time all the way through. Once she read a good chapter or two, she decided to lay out what she would wear to the quarry tomorrow.

The rest would probably be in their underwear, but Leah didn't really feel comfortable with that, as she's only been friends with them for a few days. She put out her favorite bathing suit and light jean overalls to put over it. She figured she was set, and went to bed, keeping the necklace on.
