~Shuichi's POV~

I woke up in the vault still.

"Saihara, thank goodness you're awake," Kirigiri said with a slight smile.

"Did the thief get away?" I asked.

She nodded.

"Don't worry there's always next time. I'll drive you back home, c'mon let's go," She said reaching out her hand.

I took her hand and she pulled me up. We walked over to her car that was parked outside the bank. Kirigiri sat down in the driver's seat while I sat in the passenger's seat. We drove back to my little house.

We arrived and got out of the car.

"Thanks for the lift, Kirigiri," I said.

"No problem," She replied.

I walked up to my doorstep and saw a folded up piece of paper left there. I picked it up and unfolded it. It was written in some foreign language.

"Makemake wau e pena i kahi kiʻi nani. Akā ʻaʻohe oʻu talena e hana ai. Pilikia loa wau e ʻaihue ai i ka hana nui a haʻi e hōʻike ʻia. E ʻike ana wau iā ʻoe ma laila, e Mr. Detective!"

It looked like a hint for the next heist. I guess the Phantom Thief knows my address, not creepy at all. I sighed and walked inside my house. I sat down at my desk and opened up my laptop. I should probably try and figure out what language it's in. I looked on google translate and saw that it was written in Hawaiian. I translated it into English and it read.

"I want to paint a pretty picture. But I don't have the talent to do so. So tragic that I must steal someone's hard work on display. I'll see you there, Mr. Detective!"

I'm guessing he's going to steal some expensive painting in an art show next. But what art show is coming up? I know I went to highschool with Angie Yonaga, she is a very talented artist. I lost contact with her, but maybe I could see if Kaito or Maki know her number. I took out my phone and texted in our group chat.

Sherlock Saihara: Um, do either of you guys have Yonaga's contact information?

LuMiNaRy oF tHe StArS: Sorry, sidekick, but I barely even talked to her back in highschool so I don't.

Sherlock Saihara: It's okay Kaito, what about you Maki?

Doyouwannadie: Yeah Kaede made all the girls give out their contact information. Her number is 690-666-11037

Sherlock Saihara: Alright, thanks.

I dialed Yonaga's number. My phone started ringing. Then, she picked up.

"Who is this?" She asked on the other end.

"Um it's Shuichi Saihara, do you remember me from high school?" I replied.

"Oh yes I do and so does Atua," She said.

"Well anyway, are you familiar with the Phantom Thief?"

"Yes, what about him?"

"I got assigned his case and he left a clue for the next heist on my doorstep. The clue points to him robbing some kind of fancy art show. Are you holding any soon?"

"Yes, Atua told me it would be a wonderful idea to hold one the day after tomorrow."

"Well, you might want to increase security just to be safe."

"Alright, Atua and I will keep that in mind Saihara-Kun!"

Then she hung up. She hasn't changed one bit, still always talking about Atua.

Well, I should probably get some sleep, today was exhausting. I walked over to my bedroom and took off my pinstripe jacket. I changed into comfier pants and flopped on my bed. I let sleep consume my body for the night.

I woke up and got ready for work. I went to work and sat down in my office. I took out the Phantom Thief case file. Everything was the same except for something from a year ago. That's weird there was barely any talk about him back then. I looked at the piece of paper which showed evidence about a murder case. The victim was a detective that was assigned the Phantom Thief case before he died. He was wearing a checkered scarf over top of an outfit that resembled a straight jacket. He also had a clown mask on in the photos. They removed it to investigate the body. The victim's name was Hiroto Aiuchi. They think that either DICE or Phantom Thief killed him. But since no one knows their identities they left the case alone. The fatal wound was a blow to the head with a blunt object. Sadly no one found the murder weapon so we couldn't use fingerprints as evidence. There's also a possibility that DICE and the thief could've been framed. I should look more into this later. My phone started ringing. I picked it up and saw Yonaga was calling. I answered.

"Yay, you picked up Saihara-Kun! Atua gave me the brilliant idea of asking you to help me increase security for tomorrow. So, what do ya say? You better not disobey Atua's wishes," Yonaga said in a sinister voice.

"Y-Yeah I'll be there, what's the location?" I asked timidly.

She told the address of the art show. I said goodbye and hung up. I drove to the location.

On the way I got a call from Kirigiri. I answered the phone.

"Hi Kirigiri," I greeted.

"Hello Saihara. Did you find anything out about the next heist?" She asked.

"Yes, the thief left a clue on my doorstep. According to the clue he's planning on stealing an expensive painting at Angie Yonaga's art show tomorrow," I answered.

"Well, he knows your address, so be careful," She warned.

"I can take care of myself, but thanks for worrying Kirigiri," I said.

"Of course."

"Oh, um Kirigiri I have something to ask you."

"What is it?"

"Have you heard of the murder case on Hiroto Aiuchi?"

"Yes, that's why I'm warning you. I don't believe DICE was behind his death like everyone else, but it's better to be safe than sorry."

"Okay I'll keep that in mind bye Kirigiri."

"Bye Saihara."

I hung up and parked the car. I walked into the building. The walls were covered by paintings everywhere. There were also a few sculptures. All of the art was absolutely breathtaking.

"Saihara-Kun!" Yonaga yelled, waving at me.

I walked over to her.

"So, how are we going to increase security?" I asked.

"Well, Atua suggested that we have more guards at the entrances. Also, we should lock the windows," She replied.

"Alright then let's get to work," I said.

We hired more guards and locked all the windows that the thief would have access to. Which ended up taking the whole day. I did suggest for Yonaga to protect the art somehow in case he does get in. She agreed and said she would do that before the art show tomorrow. There's clearly no way the thief could get in and steal the art now!
