~Shuichi's POV~

It was two days after the last heist. Nothing has happened since. I was already very worried. I tried calling Kokichi multiple times, but no answer. I texted him throughout that time period, but got no response.

Currently I am on my way to work. I suddenly stopped in front of a dark alleyway. I smelled blood and death, which wasn't a good sign. I decided to investigate. I walked down the alleyway. I took out a flashlight and saw a gruesome display. Five dead bodies were laying on the ground. They were all murdered in various ways. Each victim was wearing some kind of uniform. I inspected the clothes, to see if I would recognize what group they were from. No! They were all DICE members. If they're dead, Kokichi could be in the same state or worse. This can't be happening! Who would do such a thing. I just stood there frozen in shock. Tears fell from my eyes. I'm not sure as to why. I've never met any of them. Maybe because they were all basically family to Kokichi, and now here they are. The life sucked out of their eyes. Completely gone and no longer a part of this world.

I dialed Kirigiri's number. She picked up immediately.

"Saihara, why aren't you at the office?" She questioned.

"Kirigiri, come here please it's urgent," I pleaded.

"Alright, I'll be there soon," she said.

I hung up and sighed. The least I can do is investigate the bodies and bring them all some justice!

A few minutes later Kirigiri arrived.

"What seems to be the-" she stopped herself.

She looked at all the dead bodies. Her face became more emotionless.

"Are these DICE members?" She asked.

I nodded. She sighed.

"You Investigate those two, I'll take the other three. Once, we're done we can discuss what we found," she ordered.

I obeyed and walked over to the bodies she pointed at. The first one was a girl. I looked at her face and looked to see if she was in our criminal records or missing person. I found a picture of her. Her name was Rin Kutsuki. She will for sure be missed. I put away the criminal records and knelt down next to her body. There was a knife sticking out of her chest. Pink blood stained her clothes. I'm guessing she died instantly from the stab wound. I looked over at the other body. According to his appearance his name was Taishi Adachihara. There was a red line around his neck. It was most likely a rope burn. Indicating he was hung. His hands were trying to reach his neck. That showed he desperately tried to free himself. None of them deserved such despair. I hope Kokichi is alive at least. He's probably devastated. I'll help him through this. I have to once I know if he's okay or not.

Kirigiri walked over to me.

"What did you find?" I asked.

"Well, the first victim I looked at was Daisuke Gushiken. They died from a blow to the head. The murder weapon was most likely a hammer. The next victim was Shohei Kondo. His head was sawed off. Lastly, was Yamoto Inukami. He was burned alive," Kirigiri stated.

I looked down and sighed. Then, I felt a pair of arms wrap around me. I looked up at Kirigiri and returned the hug.

"You looked like you needed it," she said.

"T-Thanks," I replied.

We ended the hug and then we heard a very loud alarm going off close by.

"Wh-What was that?" I stuttered.

"It's coming from that shop over there!" Kirigiri shouted.

We started running towards the shop. We burst through the door. The only people inside were two men at the counter. One had pale skin and white hair the other had tan skin and brown hair. I looked around and saw a figure move to the roof.

"Kirigiri, you can stay here, and see what happened. I'm going to the roof," I said.

She nodded.

"Be careful," she warned.

I hummed in response and followed the figure. I arrived at the roof. I took out my gun and aimed it at them, it was used just to scare them. The person turned around and I immediately dropped the gun.

"K-Ichi?!"

"Saihara-chan."

He sounded so depressed. It pained me to see him like this.

"I know who you are, the mask isn't needed."

He gave a pained smile. He removed the mask and hat. So it really is Kokichi huh?

"You can arrest me now. Or maybe death would be better! I could join them. If I just stay alive I'll be alone. So, there's no point,"

Kokichi cried.

"You're not alone, Kokichi!"

"That's very contradicting to what you said when we broke up."

"Well, it's true you're not alone."

"Oh really?! Well then tell me why Mr. Detective!"

"Because I love you and I will always be here for you!"

"Y-You love me?"

"Yeah, how about you?"

"I love you too Shuichi!"

We immediately ran to each other then kissed. It felt so comforting to know he was alive and that he loved me back. He pulled away and looked down.

"But all of my family left me. Five died and the other five got brainwashed. All I could do was sit back and watch. I wish I could've saved them! I'm just so weak and pathetic."

I hugged him. He cried onto my shoulder.

"No you're not they made it so you couldn't stop them on purpose. If they didn't their plans would be ruined, because of how strong you truly are."

Kokichi hummed in response. He kept sobbing as I rubbed circles on his back to try and calm him down. He stopped crying eventually and we ended our hug. We heard footsteps coming towards us. I turned around and saw Kirigiri standing in front of us.

"Why haven't you arrested him yet, Saihara? He's vulnerable now," she yelled.

"Kirigiri, I'm sorry, but I can't do that."

"Why not?"

"Because, I love him!"

She seemed shocked then went back to a neutral expression.

"I understand. Ph-I mean Kokichi Ouma if you break his heart, I will arrest you and feel no remorse."

"I doubt that'll happen, but I'll keep that in mind," Kokichi said in response.

"Did you actually steal anything?" I questioned.

"Surprisingly no," Kokichi answered.

"Well then. Kokichi, would you like to go back to my house together?" I asked.

"Sure Shumai."

"Before we go, Kirigiri, are the storeworkers okay?"

"Yes Hinata and Komaeda are the owners. They said everything is fine and they're both unharmed."

"Good. Let's go Kimchi."

"Kimchi? Hm, I like it!"

Kokichi blushed a little with a small smile. We walked back to my house.

Once we arrived we both cuddled in the bed and fell asleep in each other's arms.

I promise you Kokichi that I will always be here for you. You're never alone!
