Next thing I knew, I woke up, lying by the cornucopia. I tried to get myself up but as soon as I did, I felt the urge to vomit, so I shoved my body back to the ground. I was aching, from every corner of my body. What had happened last night? All I remember was me yelling at Peeta, warning him to get away from Cato. Why did I help him tho? And how come I hadn't died?
"Cato is fine, if you are wondering." Glimmer's high pitch voice startled me.
"Aren't you supposed to be dead? I thought the tracker jackers had killed you?"
"Cato and Chase managed to salvage what was left of me. They used the rest of the plants from that fox girl to keep us both alive." She responded blankly. That was unusual. She always had a girly touch for everything. I wonder why she's so down lately.
"Where are they now?" I asked.
"They're both searching for water."
"And Marvel?" I had almost forgotten about him. "And what of Peeta?"
"Peeta got away, Cato said he was badly wounded and probably wouldn't last the night. And Marvel well, he....he didn't make it." Glimmer sniffed.
"Oh, I didn't realize you too were so close." I said.
"Yeah we weren't." she laughed then I saw a single tear drop from her cheek."He was from home, nothing more than a friend." wiping her tear she said. "Uh, let me fetch you some more of that aloe. Your stings were bad but your eye has gotten worse."
It was true. The sore around my eye had been giving me a rough time. The aloe didn't seem to do much anymore, but anything would help me from continuing this conversation.
"Yeah, sounds good. I'll be fine." I said, even though I wasn't going to be. I couldn't even stand on my own.
"You should try to get some rest, tomorrow we are going to be looking for the rest of the tributes, so we've got a big day ahead of us." she said, and I nodded.
Glimmer came out of my sight. I still had so many more questions to ask, how long had I been out? And why did I faint in the first place? These were questions I would have to ask once Cato came back, he's the only one I can truly rely on to tell me what really happened.

"Clover, wake up." It was Cato, obviously. I was glad to actually see him and know that what Glimmer said was real.
I groaned and came up to my feet, feeling a lot better than I had been the day before. I guess resting really did help, I still had many painful sores all over, but it seemed to be gradually working.
"Woah, you can stand up!" he said, excitedly.
"Don't look so surprised, I can stand perfectly fine." I said.
Glimmer stood by Cato and she was preparing some sort of herbal tea.
"Here, drink this," she said, while handing me a flask from a backpack nearby.
"Thanks," I said.
"So, we've got a plan," Cato started, "Everyone will stay here and guard the cornucopia, in case anyone comes lurking around looking for food and water."
"Then, when the sun comes down, a few of us will search the grounds and look for other tributes, while the rest of us, keep watch here." Glimmer added.
"You know there's only 9 of us left now," said Chase, "We better get to them, before they come to us."
"You think?" I asked. My sarcasm wasn't much appreciated, as they all gave me dirty looks. "Alright then, let's go!"
I looked at the enormous clump of supplies.
"That's tall." I said, admiring the tower.
"We figured, if we want to have more chances of winning, better take all the ressources possible." Cato said.
"But couldn't people steal it, easily? I mean someone could pass by really quickly, without notice." I remarked.
"We set booby traps all over," Chase said, "If someone sets foot on one of them, they would blow up."
Not before long, we saw multiple bonfires lit up. One after the other, like dominoes. It looks like a trap. Someone was doing this on purpose, they wanted to get supplies.
"Let's check them out." Cato motioned us to follow him in the forest.
"Cato, I think somethings wrong," I said, "I would feel better if someone stayed here and kept watch over our stuff."
He agreed and we both decided that we trusted Chase enough for the job.
"If anything happens, you're done." I put my finger across my neck, and he understood.
I drew a map with a stick on the dirt.
"There are three fires, so each of us pick one, and one of them will have to lead us to the one that's behind this. After that, we'll meet up back at the cornucopia." I demanded, not waiting for their response.
I headed straight for the middle one, seeking out the source.
Not detecting any sign of movement, anywhere, and since I had the best instincts in anyone in this arena, I decided to go to another fireplace.
There, I found Glimmer, tying up Rue with a net.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
Once she had tied the knot, she pulled me to a tree nearby and whispered.
"She made allies with Katniss." She looked very sure of herself.
"How do you know that?"
"She's wearing her pin." Glimmer pointed to it.
I had remembered Katniss wearing that, she was always wearing it, I don't think she ever took it off.
"I thought that this small girl would call for help, and when she does, Katniss would come-"
"And that is when we would strike her down." I completed her sentence, thinking the same thing, "Good thinking, now we just have to make sure that Rue doesn't ruin our plan."
We both moved closer, and I started making up my words along the way.
"Hey, Barbie! Why don't we go find the others, she won't be able to get out of there, so we have time to get the others."
"Okay, then Clover." Glimmer went along with the story.
She did not just use Cato's nickname for me, I-
She grabbed my hand and we both left. We burst out laughing, feeling embarrassed and ridiculed. I wanted to be mad at her, but it was nice not to be mad at her for once, and just have a friend for a while. We've come a long way from fighting.
Soon the laughter died down, and we hid behind some bushes.
"Rue, oh..Rue! Thank goodness you're okay." Katniss came.
She held the small girl with wide arms, giving her a long embrace.
I sprinted to them, throwing a knife towards Katniss. Barely dodging it, she shot an arrow at me, fearing the worst to come.
