Y/N had entered the room and noticed someone familiar. She went and bowed but when she looked up...

"Karma?!" She exclaimed.

"Y/N! Please be polite and considerate." Y/N's mother said.

Y/N froze and quickly apologized.

"I see that Karma and Y/N have already met before. Great, this will speed things up." Karma's father said.

"Like it would," Karma muttered, so no one could hear him. Y/N walked over to greet Karma's parents and shook hands with them.

"You have a beautiful child!" Exclaimed Karma's mother as she held her hands together. Y/N blushed at the compliment but saw Karma roll his eyes.

"She's... okay," Karma said.

"You two will be learning about each other this weekend." said Y/N's father.

Karma and Y/N looked at each other and sighed.

"Y/N L/N. You better cooperate." the mother said.

"Yes, mother.." Y/N said looking away.

"You too, Karma." Karma's father said with a serious face.

"Whatever," Karma replied.

"You can go to the flower garden if you like." King Astaremas said.

Karma and Y/N looked at each other. They both shrugged and sighed.

"Okay." They both said.

...

Karma and Y/N went to the flower garden as they were told so. They maintained their distance of 7 feet not wanting to interact with each other. While Y/N was standing near the fountain, the guards were given her parasol as the weather got hotter. Karma was under the shade while sweat was coming down his face.

"It's so hot out here in this stupid suit and I'm stuck with this brat. I hate this. I'd rather be doing my training than being here. Even if that means I had to include my violin training."

"May we head to the library?" Y/N said to a guard. The guard nodded without much hesitation.

It was a bit of a walk since the library was on the opposite side of the flower garden but Y/N enjoyed the walk nonetheless.

The guard opened up the big library doors for the two to come inside. The cool air refreshed them both.

Karma looked around the library and the shelves. He saw Y/N being excited to be somewhat reunited with the books. Karma grabbed a book he wanted to read and sat at a table. The prince looked back at Y/N returning from the library desk and saw her with a pile of books in her arms.

"What the.. Airhead." Karma said quietly, then continued to read his book.

Y/N slowly went to the table beside Karma and set down her books. She was excited to read new books that had just come into the palace library. She decided which book she should read first.

"Adventure? Astronomy? Zoology?" She frowned as she figured out which one to choose.

"This one." Karma said, picking up a book about literature. She froze and quickly grabbed the book from him and shoo-ed him away so they could continue to maintain their distance.

She started reading it and before she knew it, the clock had strike 8pm.

The clock dinged loudly and Karma and Y/N had both looked up to see the clock.

"Oh, guess this book was interesting." She looked back at Karma, which was back looking at the bookshelves for other books to read. She put down the book and started to read the next book she had chosen.

"Sorry for interrupting." A guard says. Karma and Y/N look at whose voice it was. "Karma, you must return to the throne room. You're leaving to return back to your homeland for now."

"Oh, okay." He placed the book he had in his hand and stared at intensely.

"Eh.. is he trying to remember the title?"

Karma nodded and headed with the guards.

Once the library door closed, Y/N took a deep breath and exhaled.

"Huh. Is his presence too tense for you, Miss L/N?" The guard beside her asks.

"No. I just chose not to speak to him." Y/N said. She stood up from her seat and grabbed her books and headed out the door.

The bell rang 2 times as Y/N exited the doors of the library. Y/N frowned after hearing the bell.

"Why?" She said quietly. She quickly walked to her bedroom and placed the books on a study table. She walked to the throne room to see Karma and his parents along with Y/N's parents.

"What'd you do for the entire day?" Y/N's father said sternly.

"We went to the flower garden for awhile, then headed to the library because it was getting too hot." Y/N said.

"Anything else?"

"Nothing, Karma and I just read for the rest of the afternoon." Y/N said.

Karma's father turned to Y/N then at her father and mother. He nodded and looked back at Karma.

"It's like you don't even trust what I said. I told you it was true." Karma said.

Y/N walks over to Karma's parents and shakes hands with them.

"Thank you for understanding." Y/N says trying to laugh.

Karma stood in front of Y/N and she looked at him for a second and curtseyed. Karma awkwardly bowed and Y/N nodded at her parents to show she was exiting the throne room. When the guards opened the door and waved back a 'goodbye'.

"Sorry." Karma said.

His parents nodded at each other. When they were getting ready to leave they bowed towards Y/N's parents and exited the room quietly. The royal family got on board the carriage and saw Y/N come down the stairs. She spotted Karma's parents and waved at them. Y/N looked at Karma and didn't do anything but smile.

"Pretty sure, she's fake smiling." Karma said, rolling his eyes.

Karma looked back at Y/N who had stopped her smiling and walked up the stairs.

"Heh." Y/N said quietly, as she slightly smiled.
