Teen Diaries

Twenty-one.

The next day I wake up in Kol's arms. I roll over and smile at him "morning." He moans and pulls me into him "10 more minutes." I kiss his forehead and smile "ok, 10 more minutes."

I lay beside him wrapped in his arms for a few minutes but we both jump up when we hear a smashing sound coming from downstairs. I laugh nervously and look at him "maybe it's a rat?" He sticks a jumper on and looks at me "stay here!" Before I can argue with him he speeds downstairs "no?!" I stick on clothes before following him downstairs but he is nowhere to be seen. I look at the backdoor as it lays wide open.

"Kol?" I walk outside and see Kol on the ground as 4 girls surround him chanting words. Kol looks at me and shakes his head "Mia run!" One of the girls turn to me and holds her hand up as she chants. I feel a sharp pain in my head "stop!" I fall onto the ground for a few seconds but then the pain becomes bearable.

I stand back up and run towards her "I said stop!" I punch her in the face and knock her out. I look at the other three witches as they are still chanting towards Kol. I run towards one and hold onto her head "let him go or I will kill her!" The witches all look towards me and start chanting. I get dragged across the air and I find myself beside Kol.

I look at him as he screams in pain "your killing him!" One of the witches walks towards me "not yet but we will after we kill you." She pulls a wooden stake from behind her back and sticks it into my chest. I feel the stake go in and my whole body burns up. I look at Kol and he looks at me with such sadness and guilt. He stands up and snaps the witch who staked me and snaps her neck.

The other two witches walk backwards still chanting as Kol leans over my body and pulls the stake out. He runs his hand down my face "it's going to be ok." I stutter my words but he kisses me before I can finally find them. I smile softly and close my eyes as I start feeling weak "I'm sorry."

A tear runs down his face and onto my hand "what did yous do!" He stands up and looks towards the witches "she was a danger to everyone!" He tries running towards them but is flung back into the air "she never hurt anyone!" The witches shake their heads "yet?!" One of the witches nods towards my body "she isn't wearing a daylight ring? We have never heard of a vampire who isn't an original that doesn't need a daylight ring?" Kol looks towards my body "so? She didn't deserve to die because of that!"

After a few minutes of blackness I start seeing a light again. I stay still for a few seconds and realise I can hear Kol's voice. I smirk and open my eyes "Kol?" Kol looks over and smirks "Mia?" The witches all look at each other "we will be back for her!" They all chant a few words before disappearing. Kol runs by my side and looks at me "how are you alive?" I shrug and place my hand where the stake went into me "I'm not sure."
