Forty-Two.

As we begin the journey I look at Stiles and smiles "nervous?" He laughs nervously and nods firmly "that obvious?" I smirk and nod agreeing "I can smell it off you." He rolls his eyes and scoffs "cheeky." I go through a notebook on the floor and smile "what's this?" He laughs nervously and grabs it "just something I've been doing." I raise my eyebrow and scoff "fine, don't tell me." He rolls his eyes and hands me it back "thank you."

As I read through the book of dates and things Stiles has been feeling I can't help but feel bad. I look at him and smile softly as I close the book "why haven't you called me and spoke to me about how you are feeling?" He shrugs and looks at the car Kai is in "you have had your own problems." I place my hand on his arm "but I will always have time for you, you know that right?" He smiles softly and nods agreeing "I know." I place the book into the glove box and lean back "good thing you will be closer so I don't have too call and make sure you are ok." He smirks at me before looking out he rear view mirror "I guess so."

As we stop for food and more gas I notice Kol pacing up and down as he is on the phone. Stiles walks towards me and smiles "you ok?" I nod agreeing and look towards Kol "I'm just going to check on Kol?" I pay for my stuff and leave the gas station. "hey?" Kol jumps and looks at me "hi." He looks towards the floor and nods "bye." I walk towards him and shrug "everything ok?" He wraps his arms around me and nods firmly "nothing I can't handle." I raise my eyebrow and smile softly "ok." I look towards Stiles as he walks out the gas station "ready?" Kol nods agreeing and kisses my forehead "ready."

As we start driving towards Mystic Falls Stiles hands me some soda "everything ok?" I nod and take a sip "yeah." He shrug and leans back "are you sure? You know you can tell me if it isn't?" I smile softly and nod firmly "I know. I'm fine." I look towards Kol's car and shrugs "I'm not sure what he is stressed about but I will."

After a couple minutes of awkward silence Stiles coughs and nods firmly "ok!" I look at him and shrug "ok?" He looks at me and smirks "you know what I just realised? "I shrug and shake my head "I can't read minds so no?" He rolls his eyes and nods towards the boxes in the back "I haven't got anything in for my new temp place." He smirks at me and shrugs "so how about we go shopping tomorrow?" I smirk with excitement and nod agreeing "yes!" He winks at me and nods firmly "I thought that might cheer you up because if I remember correctly you always wanted to decorate and rearrange your dads place?" I smile nervously and nod agreeing "you remember that?" He shrugs and looks towards the road blushing "of course."
