Seventeen.

Caroline arrives in a few minutes and opens the door "Mia?!" I wave and smile "over here." She closes the door and start boarding up the windows "I got you." She runs towards me and smiles softly "are you ok?" I shrug and try keep the tears from coming but they start rolling down my eyes "no?" She hugs me and smiles "it's going to be ok." I stand up and she hands me a ring "I got Bonnie to make me a spare." I stick the ring on and smile "thank you." I wipe away the tears and she hugs me "tell me everything."

After I tell her everything about Damon trying to compel me, me finding Kol and about me now being a vampire she watches and listens carefully. She shrugs and looks towards the coffin "all the Mikaelson's are bad news Mia." She looks at me and smirks "but that doesn't stop us thinking there is some good in them, believe me I know that feeling very well."

I walk towards the coffin and run my hand along it "but Kol could have killed me but he didn't? He never lied to me and he helped me when I turned." She walks towards me and laughs nervously "but he was also the one who turned you?" I shake my head and scoff "he gave me his blood to heal me and I only fell of that cliff because I was trying to get away from that werewolf."

She looks towards the back of the house "I will help you find Kol if you promise me something?" I nod agreeing and smirk "anything!" She nods towards the coffin "you hear what Klaus has to say? He will have a reason why." I look at her and nod firmly "because Kol went behind his back 200 years ago? Klaus is the mean one and likes to be in power so he daggers his siblings when they disagree with him." Caroline shrugs and walks towards the door "sounds about right." She opens the door and smirks "let's get you home so that brother of yours will stop worrying?" Before I can say anything someone grabs onto her head and snaps her neck.

I watch as her body falls onto the ground "hello love." Kol smirks at me and waves "Kol?!" I run towards him and hug him "wow!" He picks me up and carries me back inside "what?" He looks towards the door and shakes his head "how did that sun not burn you?" I hold up my finger and show him my ring "daylight ring?" He shakes his head and looks at it "that doesn't work?" I look at it and raise my eyebrow "what?!" I slowly take it off my finger and run outside.

"Mia?!" Kol runs after me and quickly grabs me back inside "its ok, I'm ok?" He looks at my body in disbelief "how?" I shrug and place my hand in the sunlight "I'm not sure." Kol paces the floor and shakes his head "you couldn't be compelled and now you don't burn in the sunlight? There is something weird about that." I smirk and wrap my arm around his "let's just enjoy it?" I nod towards the door and smirk "how did you even escape Klaus?" He laughs nervously and shrugs "I snapped his neck? Let's get out of here before he wakes up and kills me!"

As we drive out town I text my dad telling him that I was staying at April's cabin for a few nights before texting April and getting her to cover. I also text Scott telling him that I was find so he should go home and I would call him in a bit.
