ADRIANNA LEE's POV
01.01.2025
"Ladies and Gentlemen, we have landed in Seoul Incheon Airport. The time is 1PM in the afternoon and the weather is sunny today, with a 10% chance of snow. The temperature shows -3°, therefore make sure to wear warm clothes and thank you for flying with Singapore Airlines."
I was smiling in my seat in my very own first class lounge that I am proud to be able to experience with my own money.
One would ask why won't you just buy your own private jet, but my answer to that is always simple.
I'd rather risk my life with a bunch of people on board than me alone.
Yes I do have a fear of planes, just like my dad.
The flight from Singapore to Seoul was 6 hours and 20 minutes long and I could say, it was the most boring trip of my life.
I resent traveling alone, especially on an airplane, with both my fear of planes and the boredom it comes with it.
I don't usually travel alone, I would always have my bestfriend, Chanel Park with me but she is having a fashion show in France and won't be in Seoul until next week.
Hence, I am all alone in Seoul for a week until she arrives.
I walked out of the arrival lounge with 3 of my luggages, and searched for my new personal assistant in Seoul. I am currently residing in Seoul for the grand opening of my 10th hotel branch THE MCL, finally, in South Korea.
The construction would be starting tomorrow and I have already rented a building near it for my office space, which must be in a place they call Gangnam-gu.
This is my first time in Seoul, even though my mother is a Korean while my father is from the UK. We had never visited Seoul before. My childhood is what one would call, an ascending experience because all I learnt to do was study and aim high for my career.
But, every girl deserves some rest and fun, and the fun that I enjoy, is developed from the city that I am standing in right now, Kpop.
I smiled as I walked towards the lady who was wearing a business casual outfit, holding a sign with my name on it. She greeted me politely with a handshake when I stopped in front of her, before she signaled a man wearing a three piece suit and sunglasses beside her, whom I didn't notice, to take the trolley holding my luggage.
"It is a pleasure to finally meet you Ms. Lee. My name is Kim Eunkyung and I will be your personal assistant during your stay here in Seoul."
I smiled at her warm welcome as she directed me towards the exit where a car must be waiting for me.
When I walked out, I breathed in the fresh Korean air and smiled to myself, finally relieved that I made it. The destination where I had sworn I would plant my business in. A promise I made to my parents and myself and my bestfriend.
Since I had started my hotel chain in the UK, I promised mom that I would also set one in her home country, and now I did. The smile on her face when she finally gets to fly here for my grand opening is something I am looking forward to.
"I personally went to book for you, a presidential suite in The Four Seasons Hotel. They are very expectant of your arrival."
I smiled softly at Eunkyung before asking her why.
"The youngest billionaire with a hotel chain spreading from the UK to Singapore and finally Seoul. Why wouldn't they be?"
I chuckled at her boastful tone before shaking my head while denying what she said.
