ADRIANNA LEE's POV
02.02.2025
"You didn't have to pay for everything. We could have split it. I feel bad."
I was complaining when the waitress handed over his card and receipt before he turned to me and gave me his alluring smile that always makes my heart skip a beat.
"I was the one who ask you out to eat, so I want to pay."
I just 'tch-ed' at what he said before shaking my head and following him out the restaurant and into my car.
When we were seated inside, Charles asked where we were headed which made me turn towards him to ask.
"Should I send you back to the company? Or should I send you back to your dorm?"
He had that amused smirk on his face to which I just stared at him confused.
"You know where my dorm is?"
He asked cheekily which had me looking at him with a deadpanned face.
"No I don't. That's why I'm offering you to tell Charles where it is so we can send you off."
I remarked which had him letting out a hearty laugh before apologizing that he was just teasing.
I huffed out a breath, really appalled that he's really the prankster that everyone knows him to be.
"Please just stop here. We never know when paparazzis would be hiding around my dorm."
He suggested as we stopped a mile away from his dorm and he turned towards me with a big smile on his face, making me look at him weirdly.
"What?"
"Give me your phone."
That made me even more confused before staring at him suspiciously.
"Why...?"
He didn't answer and just gestured his hand, palm facing up at me, which just had me rolling my eyes before taking out my phone and unlocking it for him, then placing it on his hand.
"Oo~ I see the home screen is also my picture."
I just gave him a fed up look to which he smiled.
"Did you ask for my phone just to check that?"
I deadpanned to which he shook his head before clicking on some stuffs in my phone and doing something with it, before giving it back to me.
Then he gave me a light smirk before opening the car door and getting out, looking back once to wave before shutting the door and walking away.
I just watched his retreating back until he's out of sight before I ordered Charles to take me back to the hotel.
I stared out the window of the car before I felt my phone vibrate in my hands.
I checked to see that I had received a message.
Hannie:
It was fun today. We should do it again sometimes. Get home safely. My eyes widened when I saw who the message was from and my heart started to beat uncontrollably at the contact name.
Did he..... give me his phone number?
I was biting my lips and putting pressure on my chest where lay my over beating heart, which kept fluttering in disbelief that I had just went out with my bias from SEVENTEEN and that I have his phone number.
Only now, did it hit me with realization.
I could feel my heart aching a bit but not extremely.
Yoon Jeonghan..... just what are you doing to me?
When I entered my hotel room, I was greeted with Chanel on the sofa, reading a magazine, which must be the Vogue latest edition.
"I'm back."
"Oh, how was your date?"
She responded after I greeted first, making her look up with that cheeky grin while wiggling her eyebrows.
I just scoffed at her childish act before plopping down right beside her and leaning my head on her shoulder, letting out a huge sigh.
"What? Was it that bad?"
I shook my head slightly before pouting and leaning up to look at her.
"It was like a dream and that's a problem."
I said in a tired tone which had her staring at me weirdly.
"Why do you say that?"
I sighed again before leaning back against the sofa and staring at my fingers.
"This just made me gain false hopes. He's an idol Chanel. Plus if he finds out about my condition, I can't— "
I stopped what I wanted to say because tears were brimming in my eyes.
Chanel placed her magazine down before she wrapped her arm around my shoulders and soon the tears willingly fell down my face.
I don't know how many times I've cried by now.
Chanel shushed me and rubbed my arms softly which had me sniffling and slowly breathing in and out to stop crying.
"I am in no position to give you advice because I have no idea what you're going through Adrianna."
I just nodded my head.
"I know."
I sniffled a bit more before the tears stopped falling and I stopped crying as we sat comfortably in the silence that our hotel room gives us.
"But I do want to say this."
That made me look up at her, while she gave me that strong and determined look that made her the proud Fashion Icon she is today.
"Just enjoy your life. Do not think about others. Think about yourself first, put yourself first and be selfish. You only live once, make the best out of it."
She lectured me with a strong gaze while I slowly blinked and let the words she said sink in.
"I don't want you regretting one day, about all the opportunities you lost and didn't grab."
She continued on while I turned and looked front again, her words running through my head and inspiring me.
She's right.
I only live once, so I should live to not regret.
