ADRIANNA LEE's POV
12.08.2025
"You little piece of.... I recommended you to go there and meet up with Jeonghan, not get into an argument with him."
I sighed into the phone staring at Chanel's frustrated face, after I told her what had happened for the past two days between me and Jeonghan.
"We're just at a pause at the moment."
Chanel grunted disapprovingly to what I said.
"I don't know what you're not telling me but I hope that things will be resolved soon Adrianna. You and Jeonghan are meant for each other. Anyone can see that."
She gave me a lecture which had me smiling at her reassuringly before our phone call ended due to her needing to attend a meeting.
We bid each other goodbye and I placed my phone back onto the table before continuing to finish eating my breakfast in my room that I had ordered.
Pancake with a cup of hot chocolate.
I was staring out at the view from the window while sipping on my cup of hot chocolate when my phone started vibrating, initiating a call from a random number.
I furrowed my eyebrows before picking up my phone and answering the call.
"Hello?"
"Hey Adrianna."
I fumbled through my head for this voice as it sounded very familiar to me.
"This is....??"
I questioned into the call, still not grasping who it was when I heard a chuckle from the other line.
"I'm a bit hurt that you cannot recognize my voice. I took care of you the whole day yesterday."
That made me come into a realization.
"Hyungwon?"
I replied and immediately he let out another chuckle.
"The one and only."
I just smiled at his remark before proceeding to ask him why he called.
"I was wondering if you'd join me today, for tonight's gala for the idols currently in Japan."
I pursed my lips in consideration, feeling a bit sad that I had to know about this from Hyungwon and not Jeonghan.
"I don't know Hyungwon. Since you said idols, Jeonghan would be there...... possibly with her."
I replied with a hint of hurt in my tone, knowing very well that it is likely to happen since it was a gala for idols.
"Forget about them. I'm asking you to be my date."
I bit my lip, hesitating about it since I don't know how his fans would react to that, and I didn't want to cause any damage to his career.
"Why me though Hyungwon? We've only known each other for two days, and also you're Jeonghan's closest friend."
I asked curiously since they seem to be so close.
"I am. He trusts me. Which is why he wouldn't have a problem with me bringing you as my date tonight. Besides, I think it's natural for a guy to ask out a girl he likes."
My breath hitched at what he said, not knowing what to reply.
"Don't worry. I know I don't have a chance against Jeonghan, however, there's no harm in a date."
