I'm planning some interesting dragon-themed one-shots if I ever get around to it so...yay?

Anyways here's a nice lil royal au for the_quiet_jade . I didn't want to be cliche so I got loosely inspired by The Dragon Prince (if you like that show please tell me I wanna meet more fans. And if you haven't seen it I highly suggest watching it it's awesome!!!)

Anywho, lets get into the chaos!

(Yes the title is taken from Moana...

A young women walked though the ancient halls. Her light blonde hair looked almost white, it was pulled back in a bun and secured with a tie. The slender, dark handle of a mage's wand poked through the locks. She threw open the doors, much to the guard's protest and approached the king.

He was tall, skin dark and etched in purple scars. Her gaze dragged to the portrait hanging on the wall where a man smiled proudly, lighter toned and happy, with a tender-hearted women, and a joyful young boy. What he had been before the war. Before the dark magic left him darkened and scarred.

"Your majesty," the girl knelt respectfully, her green eyes flicking upwards. "I come with grave news."

The king stayed where he was, eyes glittering like rich rubies as he focused on something she couldn't seem to see. "What is it?"

"We have caught word that elemental assassins have crossed our borders. I am positive they are from your brother." The girl rose slowly to her feet, clasping her hands before her. "Garmadon, we can all assume that they are coming for you and the prince."

King Garmadon's lips turned down in a frown, and he turned towards the girl. "Send a group at once. Cut them off before they can even make it past the forest."

The girl dipped her head once before she spun and moved hastily away. Garmadon curled his upper lip, slamming his hand onto he rail of the balcony with anger. He glared at the rising sun, his words hissed out slowly and so softly they could barely be heard.

"This war has raged on long enough, Wu." Garmadon growled. "It is time you and your little creatures were brought to their knees!"

The blade cut through the air, sun dancing along the golden edge as it swung. There was a musical ring of metal when it met with another's sword, they both drew back and clashed once more.

It was a lethal dance, feet moved swiftly in calculated steps, perspiration dripping down the warriors' temple, arms shook from the strain but refused to back down. The first adjusted his gauntlet, looming down on the smaller adversary with a sneer. Though the spiteful state couldn't be seen through the helmet, his opponent knew it was there.

The smaller one simply looked back without emotion, focusing on each movement. The first roared, the giant broad sword slashing through the air. The second nimbly dodged, an elbow caught an unsuspecting side, throwing the larger man off balance. With a curse, he fell, weapon loose in his hand as the smaller one pointed their tip at his neck.

"Yield." He demanded, prodding at the resistor's chest plate.

With a huff, they complied, dropping their hands and letting the sword go. "I yield." He ground out.
