Day Eighteen: ninja hosting an Easter egg hunt

"I hate every one of you!"

They glanced up from where they were putting candy and chocolate into tiny plastic eggs. As soon as they caught sight of the dangerous ninja's attire they collectively snorted.

Jay scowled as he shuffled forward and almost tripped over his huge feet. "Why do I have to be the Easter Bunny?" Jay complained. "Can't Lloyd do it? He has the face for it!"

"People would notice if the green ninja wasn't there, motor-mouth." Cole broke off as hysterical laughter erupted. "And you-" laughter. "-look too cute!"

Jay stomped his bunny foot. "UGH! Master Wu they're making fun of me!"

Wu smothered his own cackles with a cough and slid away quickly. Jay pouted but brightened a little when Nya walked over to him. A small smile graced her beautiful features as she adjusted his ears so they didn't fall in his eyes. Her brown gaze moved over the smushed brown curls, adorable pink cheeks, and little bunny nose Jay had drew on with her eye liner.

"He's right, you know." Nya snickered, eyes sparkling. "You look adorable." Jay gave her a dreamy smile and went to give her a kiss when Kai aggressively shoved them apart.

"Woah, woah, woah!" Jay almost fell over but Kai yanked him back on his feet. "No kissing the Easter Bunny! We don't want people thinking your cheating on Jay."

Nya rolled her eyes and left to help Zane set up the table of baskets.

"I do not understand the point of this activity." Zane gave a perplexed frown as he examined the eggs. "Why must we hide treats in the shells of chickens' children? I see no educational value here."

Lloyd had been snacking on the chocolate and his hand froze with a jelly bean halfway in his mouth at Zane's comment. Wordlessly the green ninja shoved the container of eggs away from him.

"There's no educational value, Zane," Nya laughed. "It's for fun! Little kids love running around and finding goodies!"

"I see." Zane hummed to himself. Pixal came up behind him with a sweet smile as the nindroid finished packing up the eggs.

"We are almost done hiding all of the eggs." Pixal announced. "The children should be arriving soon."

"And then we can just sit and relax while the little losers chase after candy in circles." Kai sighed happily as he leaned back in a lawn chair. Jay stumbled over in his costume and crashed into him by accident. "Ow!"

"Lloyd!" Nya snapped. "Stop eating the candy! That's for the kids!"

Lloyd looked like a kicked puppy as he set down the sweets and retreated from the table. Nya marched away to go help hand it the baskets, whisking by Cole who was peeking under the cake box.

"That goes for you too, Cole!" Nya yelped over her shoulder.

"Dang it." Cole muttered with a huff.
