Day Three: "This is a terrible idea"

Sort of a continuation from Lloyd's Jayrney in my Flumptober book.

Lloyd peered around the corner with narrowed eyes. He had been ready to hole up in his room with his jumbo box of sour keys while reading comic books for the rest of the night when he spotted suspicious activity happening in the living room.

Kai strolled by, a towel and loofa in hand as he made his way to the shower, but he paused when he spotted Lloyd loitering around in the hall. The master of fire paused to see what he was looking up, his eyebrows knitting in confusion.

"Why is Jay hoarding pillows like a hermit?" Kai remarked out loud. It was a good question. Since the freckled-faced boy was tossing throws around like t-shirts at a hockey game.

"I don't know," Lloyd grumbled, propping the container of candy on his hip. "But I'm worried it has something to do with me."

The green ninja was about to sneak away as quietly as he could when Jay had caught sight of the blonde boy.

"Lloyd!" He cheered. The brunette tried to stand but ended up tripping over all the pillows. "Just in time!"

Lloyd paled as his friend took his sleeve and began to drag him to the mountain of cushions.  He turned his green eyes to look at Kai pleadingly. "Kai? Didn't you have something you needed me to help you with?" Lloyd asked desperately over his shoulder.

"Nah. Don't think so." Kai shrugged. "Well, I'm going in the shower!"

Lloyd glared at him as the red-clad boy went to destroy their bills by using all the hot water. Jay sat the younger boy down, his eyes were very serious as he reached over and held up a box.

"Lloyd, I have found a cure for you. But everything in this box is very important and invaluable. You must promise not to disrespect the magic inside." Jay said, his face remained straight and nerves faltered.

Lloyd eyed the thing warily. "Please don't tell me you got some hexed drugs from Mistaké."

"This is much more dangerous. For you can become so addicted to it that you can barely perceive reality anymore." Jay nodded sombrely while Lloyd gave him a horrified expression.

Lloyd went to shimmy out of there. "...Nya-"

A hand slapped over his mouth. Blue eyes stared dangerously into his own. "Don't betray me, Lloyd. You will regret it."

Lloyd stared frozen and wide-eyed at his friend as Jay sat back and picked up the box again. Lloyd stiffened when he lifted the lid slowly, mentally preparing himself for whatever Jay was about to use against him.

The top opened slowly and Lloyd squinted at the small square-shaped items inside.

"....are those Disney Princess movies?"

Jay took out Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and passed him the container of sour keys. Lloyd watched as the master of lightning pushed the disc inside the DVD player and sat back against the cushions.

"Brace yourself, Lloyd." Jay patted him on the shoulder as the little castle appeared on the television. "To fix your princess-phobia we're going to have to go from Mulan all the way to Frozen II."

Lloyd shrank back in his seat, hiding behind the giant bucket of sour keys as Snow White came singing into the scene.

"This is a terrible idea."
