Catching up

I know Draco is avoiding me because we broke up, but after what happened to my family I felt like he could at least say hi. I strech my hand back out towards my suitcase. After I pick it up I follow Snape further into the school. Towards Dumbledore's office. He knocks at the door and we enter. Again I spot all those machines, who's use I still don't know anything about. "Professor." I say and look towards his giant chair. I like his office it gives me a cozy mood like a saver place. "Miss Hunter good the have you back." He smiles. Gracefully he walkes around and stops in front of his big desk. His long sleeves wave after his as he stops. He sounds a lot more genuine than Snape does, but I think even Snape is sometimes lying about not feeling much. I think he feels a lot. "Good the be back I suppose." I reply casually, my arms hurt a little from holding the heavy suitcase. I lay it down and sigh, I wait for him to talk since he asked me to come to his office, as I supposed. But there was silence. Nobody said anything. Snape, was leaning onto one foot, his arms crossed in front of his chest. His dark long hair was partly hanging into his face. His mouth, eyes and facials seem expressionless. He stared at something I couldn't, tell what it was. I started to shift in my shoes, my hands hanging to the sides of my body, while I tap my hands against my upper legs. Dumbledore smiles and sits down, sips something from a cup, that hadn't been there a few seconds ago. "Take it slow." The old man tells me, his calm, mysterious voice makes me speechless for a while. I don't know what to reply. I just stand there and nod my head, look around. "Okay." I then say, pressing the words out. It sounds like stuttering. "Good, then Miss Hunter, I think your friends missed you, you might meet up with them soon."  "I will." "Then take a rest now." I nod my head at his words. It is an awkward conversation artificial, I think it's because Snape is there, I don't know what to say. I really don't, I don't want him to get mad, I need him to study, to protect myself. "Goodbye then." I say squad down a little to lift the suitcase, but I change the side, with which I carry it. I turn towards the door, as Snape dramatically turns around his robe swinging and hitting my back and the back of my knees especially. I gasp as I shocked by the robe, try to understand what just happened. He walks towards the door, without waiting to me, as I tiptoe after him, rubbing my shoulder lightly. He leaves me alone as we reach the Dungeons. I don't know why he remained with me for such  a long time. I stumble towards the Dungeons and enter the Slytherin common room. My room mates were sitting on the couch and start to smile ass they spot my. "Y/n!" Sana called through the room. "Hey girls." I smile and both of them come up to hug me. I spot Malfoy and try to wave my hand, but he turns around and walks away. Disappointed I let myself sink onto the couch in front of the fireplace. "Are you still thinking about that jerk?" My other roommate asks throwing an arm around me. "No, not really." I reply, but it's a lie. I would be probably be happier if I had never met him. Nothing in our relationship had worked out very well. It seemed toxic, but maybe it were just the circumstances. I wasn't sure, that well. "Oh guys, I really missed this school somehow." I exclaim and throw my head back. I am tired, but I want to see my friends. "Do you want to go to Hogsmead with us this weekend?" Luciel asks, shifting on her seat. I didn't, I rather wanted to be with Fred and George, maybe Mione as well if she wasn't too busy. "I already meet up with someone, sorry." I tell her. "It's alright, are you seeing a guy?" Luciel grinned at me and Sana raised her brows waving them wildly. "I don't know. We will  see, I will only tell you guys more if it ever works out." I smile then strech my back. "When do the lessons start?" I then want to know. "Uh fifteen minutes, but are you attending them today?" Sana and Luciel look at me astonished. "Yeah, I really don't want to just sit around, I will get my books, alright?" I take my suitcase and bring it up to our room, grab my books and run downstairs. "Ready." I yell, jumping down the last few steps. "Hurry, then the lessons start soon and we still need to get there. We run through the halls and our ways part as I have to go to potion class, while Sana and Luciel run towards their classes. I push the door open knowing I am late. "I'm sorry for being late Professor, I just arrived." I speak, noticing the teacher just smiles at me. "Just come in here Miss..." "Hunter. My name is Y/n Hunter." I reply and sport Hermione. I smile at her as she moves her books away to make some space for me. I walk up to her standin next to her. Suddenly I don't care about any Slytherins anymore or about what they could think. It weren't all of them, only some, even though those were kind of ruling over the other's. "Hey girl, I missed you." I whisper looking at the kettles in front of us. "I missed you too Y/n. seriously I missed having you here." Her eyes shine at me, I missed that so much. "How are the twins?" I ask quietly, while waving at Harry and Ron. "Great, they miss you too." Suddenly I notice that there is no book left for me. Not even an ugly, old one like Harry's "Uh, mind sharing with me?" I ask Hermione. "No not at all, just look in there." "Okay class you may start now, look the page up, which I told you before and start the potion." I look at the page but Hermione has already grabbed the book and stares at the words. I try to see what shes writing down, but I just can't. Everybody starts, while I remain there not doing anything. I observe the other's. Draco hasn't looked at me since I entered the room. I sigh and continue observing, Harry doesn't seem to struggle at all, but judging by Hermione's looks, he doesn't seem to do right.

I remain there for a while and watch Harry succeed when Hermione suddenly snaps. "It says cut, not squeeze." Harry shruggs. "Harry are you listening, you should follow the recipe." He just nods to her words and continues doing what he already started. "Mione. Maybe he doesn't do it wrong, he had finished half now and nobody else did." I try to convince her that Harry's- though very unconventional- method was working very well. I walk next to Harry and examine his kettle. It seems alright to me, but not having read the book, makes it hard for me to judge, also, I had missed out several lessons. I stick my head over his shoulder and look closer. "May I?" I ask while already looking at his ingredients and book. "Sure." He nods and gives me a nice smiles. I probably knows it, he must know it, someone must have told him by now. "Thanks, uhm would you mind to teach me after school and explain, I misssed so much." I look at him, with a begging smile. "Yes, I guess." I give hima thanking smile and move my kettle next to his. Even though I still struggle a lot I think I am doing a littler better, than when I was standing next to Hermione. Soon I would be able to catch up with all the stuff that had been taught.
