3rd person POV

Luke and Reggie were fast asleep and the Molina house was dark. Alex and Elizabeth had snuck out, beginning their search for Willie. They had looked all throughout Hollywood, even in the Museum where the pair had screamed numerous times. He was nowhere to be found

They were currently sitting on the pier, the waves crashing below them.

Elizabeth set a hand on his shoulder, "Jeez, I'm sorry Alex. I'm sure he's still out there, we just haven't found him yet."

Alex sighed, shaking his head, "What if Caleb got to him first?" The girl didn't respond, figuring Alex probably already knew that answer.

"We should get back. We don't want the boys finding out that we left." Elizabeth said, standing up and brushing off imaginary dust.

Alex stood up, grabbing her arm to keep her from going, "Can we go to one more place before we go?" He asked her.

Elizabeth nodded, "Yeah. Where to?"

"I want to see my parents." Alex said, stunning the girl. She recovered quickly, telling him that she would go with him. She didn't know much about his past, but she knew that his parents didn't support his sexuality.

Alex poofed the two in front of a massive house, Liz's eyes widening at the place-like place.

"Woah, Alex. This was your house?" She asked him.

He nodded, "Yeah. My parents own a really large company. They kicked me out after I told them I was gay. Apparently, I was going to ruin their reputation."

Elizabeth's heart ached for him.

Taking his hand in hers, she asked, "You ready to go in?"

"Honestly," He said, "no. But let's go."

He dragged her into the mansion, Alex taking a deep breath. They walked around the living room, finding no trace that Alex had ever lived there.

Elizabeth scrunched her nose, turning to him, "Are you sure this is the right house?"

Alex stood like a statue, his head moving around the room, "This is definitely it." He ran his hand over the sofa, "They took down every picture of me."

Alex dragged the girl to the second floor, finding that his old room had been turned into an office. His heart broke as he came to the realization that his parents were so ashamed of him that they erased everything about him.

His parents had simply pretended that he had never existed. Pictures of his parents on their wedding day were hung on the walls, confirming that they still lived there. Tears formed in the drummers eyes.

All he had wanted was his parents acceptance and even now, after death, he couldn't get that. Elizabeth wrapped her arms around him, not knowing how else to comfort him. She was grateful that her family still acknowledged her and she wanted Alex to feel that same happiness.

They left quickly after that, neither of them wanting to stay any longer. Alex snuck back into the garage and Elizabeth went back into her room. She laid in bed, thinking of ways to make Alex feel better.

She couldn't ever imagine how hard it would be for your parents to act like you had never been there. She didn't understand how people could be so heartless. It was now clear to her why Alex had been so close with the boys.

She figured that back when they were around, being gay was seen as a sin. If only Alex had been born in this day and age, maybe he would feel more accepted.

Down in the garage, Alex was being interrogated. Luke had woken up in the night, finding both Liz and Alex gone.

"Where were you guys?" He asked Alex, not noticing the drummers tense posture.

"I don't want to talk about it right now." Alex said, pushing past him.

Luke followed him, "That's not good enough! Both of you have been gone for hours."

Alex turned around, his emotions hitting him like a boulder. Tears fell from his eyes and he explained to Luke what happened at his parents house. Reggie jumped down from the loft, both boys consoling Alex.

They eventually got Alex to move onto the couch, him falling asleep quickly. Luke and Reggie definitely weren't good at helping crying people, but they owed it to him after 25 years.

Luke poofed into Elizabeth's room, waking her up.

"Luke?" She questioned, sitting up. "What are you doing here?"

He took a seat on the edge of her bed, "Alex told us. About his parents."

She wrapped her arms around her knees, pulling them into her chest, "It was awful, Luke. They completely erased him."

Luke sighed, "I know. He was pretty upset."

Liz looked up at him, an idea coming to her head, "We should throw him a little party." Luke wasn't understanding and she continued, "So that he knows that he has people who care about him."

Luke finally caught her drift, agreeing with her.

The next day, Luke and Elizabeth told Julie and Reggie the plan, all of them agreeing. Reggie was in the house, distracting Alex by forcing him to spend time with Ray. Julie, Luke, and Elizabeth, are in the garage and setting everything up.

Neither Alex or Elizabeth had said where they actually were for most of the night, deciding that it wasn't important because they came up empty handed.

"How does it look?" Elizabeth asked the group once they had finally finished.

"It looks perfect, Beth. He's gonna love it." Luke said, wrapping his arms around her shoulder.

"Go get 'em, tiger." Elizabeth told the boy, Luke going to retrieve Alex and Reggie.

Julie turned to her sister, pulling her into a hug, "I really missed you, sis."

Liz smiled, wrapping her arms around the young girl, "I missed you too."

The boys came in, Luke's hands covering Alex's eyes.

"Can I look now?" Alex huffed.

They all yelled "surprise!" as Luke took his hands away, Alex staring in awe at the scene.

"Is- Is this for me?" He asked, looking at all of his friends.

Elizabeth nodded, "We wanted you to know how important you are to all of us."

Alex was touched at the gesture, his heart feeling full. The four ghosts really had gotten a second chance, and they weren't going to waste it.
