My Brother's Best Friend

Chapter 31

Today was a JkxMe day. He said he's booked a meal for us and that before hand we could go buy some new clothes, and so we did. We shopped for an hour or two and he helped my choose a gorgeous outfit, he'd ordered me to wear it tonight and so, here we are. I'm currently getting dressed into my new clothes, Jungkook has already left, he said he had to be at the restaurant 20 minutes before we planned to actually arrive to prepare the staff for fans, just in case.

I said goodbye to everyone and was now ready to Jungkook at this fancy ass restaurant, he gave me the name of the place and called a taxi to pick me up. I sat in the car and made conversation with the driver, she was friendly and complemented my outfit and make up so I felt especially confident as I walked up to the large glass doors separating me from my boyfriend and some delicious food.

I walked in and was quickly shown to a seated Jungkook, he looked as gorgeous as always, but seemed more dressed up than usual. His outfit suited him, he wore a light grey blazer with a black tie and dress pants. His hair was pushed back but not tied up, he looked better than the food I'd seen as I walked in. I think I already know what I'll be ordering for my meal tonight.

He stood up and wrapped his arms around my waist, "you look beautiful." He spoke softly in my ear before kissing me, just as soft. I complemented him leaving out that I wanted to eat him because he looked so good. We sat together, eating and talking. The date was as normal as any other we'd been on so I didn't quite understand his outfit choice, but again, it looked exquisite so I wouldn't complain.

We ordered dessert, sharing a chocolate cake and drinking wine as we simply enjoyed each other's company. As we finished our (first) meal, he payed the bill despite me offering to cover it or at least my half. As we roamed the streets of Paris, hand in hand, we made our way to THE landmark everyone comes here for. The Eiffel Tower. It really was very beautiful, it was lit up in the dark night and shone brighter than anything I'd seen before. This city just amazed me endlessly. Jungkook and I sat down on a few steps near by, holding each other, watching the night pass us by as people roamed around, oblivious to the complete bliss radiating from me.

Once again, he continued our walk, leading me to the most lovely places, until eventually we stumbled across another iconic staple of Paris. The lock bridge.

If you don't know what this bridge is, it's a gorgeous place that people come to put locks on with their loved one to show their eternal love for one another. It's super cute and romantic as fuuuck. Anyway~

Jungkook pulled a lock from his pocket before handing it to me, engraved on the metal read "We are forever, eternally yours" it didn't say our names and yet it was entirely personal to us. We smiled together, locking the metal onto an empty piece of railing before throwing the key into the water below us. I thought this was the perfect and to out night as he wrapped his arms around me again. Keeping me warm and safe.

But I was wrong.

He pulled away before looking deeply into my eyes. "I have another lock." He spoke calmly. I nodded, wondering why we'd need a second one. "This one ain't for the bridge though," he seemed nervous, which in turn, made me nervous. "It's for you to keep, well, to wear." I'm so confused.

"Jungkook, how do you want me to wear a lock?"

"Well, it's more a symbol of a lock." He pulled a small, black, velvet box from his other pocket as he lowered himself onto one knee and took my hand in his. My eyes instantly widened before brimming with tears.

No. He's not proposing. He can't. We're too young. He's too famous. He's not proposing.

"Y/N. I love you." He was talking but I couldn't really take in everything he was saying. All I knew was that my heart was beating so loudly that he could probably hear it.
